Baldur's Gate 3: 6 Best Items For Constitution

Here are the six best Constitution-boosting items to bolster your party's health, concentration, and resilience in Baldur's Gate 3.

Baldur's Gate 3 is no different, with various different stats for players to choose and create a build out of, one of which being charisma. Obviously, being an RPG, there are also a ton of different items in the game, some of which directly relate to charisma, by either being very powerful for characters needing the stat, or outright increasing said stat. Throughout the three acts, items that bolster charisma are incredibly valuable and should be picked up by any of the classes that scale with the stat.

8 Gibus Of The Worshipful Servant

Gifts The User Momentum Equal To Their Charisma Modifier

BG3 Gibus of the Worshipful Servant in-game item menu description
  • Can be sold by Helsik.
  • Helsik can give it to The Dark Urge.
  • Dropped by Sceleritas Fel after The Dark Urge refuses Bhaal's gift.

Some classes that use charisma are already more mobile than others, with increased movement to get closer to foes. Even still, the ability to obtain some extra movement is a welcome bonus, allowing players to traverse a battlefield more easily, and the Gibus of the Worshipful Servant grants such a boon.

Movement, and by relation momentum, is a crucial feature of Baldur's Gate 3, and gifting characters with more of it equal to their charisma modifier can be very strong. Bards, warlocks, sorcerers, and paladins will be the prime candidates for the item, given that they use the stat. Aside from extra movement, the item also gifts advantage on constitution saving throws - a nice little bonus.

7 Harmonic Dueller

Deals Extra Melee Damage Equal To The User's Charisma Modifier

BG3 Harmonic Dueller in-game item menu description
  • Can be bought from Entharl Danthelon.

The first class most people will likely associate rapiers with will be warlocks given Wyll's penchant for using them. While it is common that rapiers are used on spellblade classes, the Harmonic Dueller can still be a worthwhile acquisition regardless, given its class actions that let characters use their charisma modifier to deal bonus damage depending on how high the stat is.

As warlocks and bards are two of the most used classes to wield rapiers, the Harmonic Dueller can be valuable to them. As the two classes utilize charisma as their main stat, the bonus damage from the Harmonic Dueller becomes a strong ability.

6 Helmet Of Smiting

Grants Temporary Hit Points Based On The User's Charisma Modifier

  • Found in a chest in the Selunite Outpost.

Paladins are one of the most notorious classes in Baldur's Gate 3. They have a ton of versatility and can deal insane amounts of damage when built correctly.

Baldur’s Gate 3: 5 Tricks That Make Paladin The Best Class

Players who get to know the nuances of the Paladin class in Baldur's Gate 3 will be in for a fun time!

The Helmet of Smiting can fit in well with a paladin character as it grants temporary hit points equal to the user's charisma modifier when a smite spell is used. As a central part of their kit, smites are one of the main ways a paladin deals damage, with the class using charisma to improve spellcasting, making the Helmet of Smiting worthwhile.

5 Infernal Rapier

Uses Spellcasting Modifier For Attack Rolls

BG3 Infernal Rapier in-game item menu description
  • A reward from successful dialogue choices when completing Wyll's personal quest in the Mind Flayer Colony.

The Infernal Rapier doesn't immediately have any abilities that directly pinpoint the use of charisma, but it does use the wielder's spellcasting modifier for attack rolls. As it is rewarded from Wyll's questline, and that warlocks and bards are the most likely classes to wield rapiers, the weapon can benefit well from high charisma investment.

As it uses the spellcasting modifier of the user, which would most likely be charisma, it can further the amount of damage dealt by classes wielding it by a good portion, making it a valuable acquisition. It also comes with some bonus abilities, such as a +1 increase to spell save dice rolls, and the option to summon a cambion.

4 Potent Robe

Deals Extra Damage And Grants Temporary Hit Points Equal To The Charisma Modifier

BG3 Potent Robe in-game item menu description
  • Alfira will reward this item upon successful completion of the Rescue the Tieflings quest in the second act.

As warlocks and sorcerers are the primary classes that utilize magic in conjunction with charisma, having an item that deals extra damage via cantrips equal to their charisma modifier is extremely powerful. Bards and paladins also use charisma, but warlocks and sorcerers will be the main classes to use the Potent Robe, with it also gifting temporary hit points equal to the charisma modifier at the beginning of a turn.

The ability to deal extra damage is an obviously amazing bonus, making the robe a no-brainer to obtain, especially given warlocks are already powerful and utilize cantrips heavily, with sorcerers also being extremely strong. The temporary hit points bonus is a beneficial ability, as both classes are more glass canons, with not as much health or defense compared to others.

3 Auntie Ethel's Hair

Grants A Permanent +1 Bonus To A Chosen Stat

Baldur's Gate 3 Auntie Ethel's Hair on the floor
  • Given by Auntie Ethel via certain dialogue choices after reducing her health to 20% with non-lethal damage turned on.

Auntie Ethel's Hair is one of the most obvious choices for every class to obtain on a playthrough, given its ability to permanently increase a stat by +1. It can be acquired immediately after waking up from the prologue and will stay with the characters until the end of the game.

Baldur's Gate 3 has some scarily challenging boss fights. For these threats, players should be prepared and have their tactics honed.

Charisma can be increased by +1 for any of the classes that require it, making for a very powerful item. It can also be stacked with other charisma-boosting items, further improving how powerful a build can be.

2 Birthright

Increases Charisma By +2

BG3 Birthright in-game item menu description
  • Can be bought from Lorroakan's Projection, from Rolan, or traded or pickpocketed from Rolan, depending on the player's actions.

Any items that flat-out increase the stat of a character are obviously incredibly valuable. Birthright does just that, increasing charisma by +2, but only up to a total of 22 charisma. The charisma-boosting ability of Birthright can be stacked, but it must be used before reaching 22 charisma.

For those interested in combat through other means besides swords and magic, these titles allow players to role-play as bards.

All the classes that utilize charisma will find Birthright a place in their build, as increasing the stat they use to gain proficiency in spells is a must-have for dealing with tough enemies. It might not look or possess the most flashy of abilities, but the simple effect of increasing charisma by a +2 should not be understated.

1 Duke Ravengard's Longsword

Increases Charisma By +2 And Grants Temporary Hit Points Equal To The Charisma Modifier

BG3 Duke Ravengard's Longsword in-game item menu description
  • Can be found on Duke Ulder Ravengard.

Much like the case with Birthright, Duke Ravengard's Longsword can increase charisma by +2, making for a valuable weapon. Unlike Birthright, Duke Ravengard's Longsword also has an ability that lets allies gain temporary hit points equal to the user's charisma modifier whenever they kill an enemy.

The increase of charisma is a powerful boost that is clearly strong for any class that utilizes the stat, yet the temporary hit point bonus is useful for support classes, such as bard. Still useful in other classes, but when wielded on bard, it can further increase just how powerful such characters can be.
