As a co-operative shooter, Turtle Rock Studios' Back 4 Blood is a fairly decent entry. While perpetuating the zombie FPS, it was sadly unable to match the legacy that was Valve's Left 4 Dead series that it was hoping to be a continuation of. It currently has a score of "mostly positive" on Steam, so it still has it fan base. On top of that, the developer has been releasing new updates and content, and a new tweet suggests that more expansions are on the way.As spotted by VG247, a post on the official Back 4 Blood Twitter profile says that "Expansion 2" is inbound, but there's no indication of when it will start rolling out or even what it will involve. There seems to be a couple of hints in the tweet though, such as the mention of things being "like a cult around these parts." There's also the word "act" which has inexplicably been written with a capital A. Whether this is in reference to the upcoming DLC cannot be said, so all fans can do at this stage is speculate and hope that more news is just on the horizon.RELATED: Back 4 Blood Update Adds Player Kick Feature, Improves Gameplay, And MoreIn response to one comment, the studio also says that there will be a third expansion as well, so it looks as though the game will be getting a plentiful supply of new content in the future. Back 4 Blood is also due to get bear traps at some point, which could possibly tie in with the mention of these new expansions. Again though, it's difficult to say, but for fans of the game, it sounds like there's quite a bit to look forward to.

As mentioned above, the game attempted to be a spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead franchise. However, some felt that it couldn't reach the heights of its predecessor. Although it contains the accouterments of the classic shooters, such as it being a four-player co-op set in a zombie apocalypse in which team members need to work together against hordes and special infected, it didn't seem to have the spirit of L4D. That and Back 4 Blood is a notoriously hard game, with a fairly recent update making it even more difficult.

Although there are many fans out there, many felt the game was one of the most disappointing releases of 2021, up there with the likes of Battlefield 2042 and Aliens: Fireteam Elite. It struggled to stand on the shoulders of Valve's Left 4 Dead titles, but it evidently has more than its share of players if Turtle Rock is willing to keep putting out new content.

Back 4 Blood is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
