Babylon's Fall has players teaming up to take on the various cloisters that make up the Tower of Babel. The game can prove to be fairly challenging at times, especially when playing alone, so players are highly incentivized to bring some allies along for the journey whenever possible.

While connected to the online portion of the game, players can expect a matchmaking system to pick up the slack for any lack of companions, having up to four players battle through each of the game's seven cloisters. Unfortunately, however, the game is not very forthcoming when it comes to explaining how to party up with specific friends.

How to Play with Friends in Babylon's Fall

Like most things in Babylon's Fall, multiplayer can be accessed through a menu. In order to adventure with friends, players will need to enter the start menu while in the hub and then open the equipment menu. They should notice five tabs in the top right corner, one of which being "Community," which is what they'll need to should select. It is from this menu that players will be able to access everything related to matchmaking and the online aspects of Babylon's Fall.

As one might expect, players are able to access their friends lists in the "Friends List" menu. There is a search option for looking up specific usernames, which can then be added to the list. There is also a "Friends Requests" option, where, of course, players can find any requests from friends or random players that they may have encountered in their journeying.

Players now have two options when playing with their friends. If they only have one or two companions that they would like to play with in mind, and are alright with the rest of the party being filled up with randoms, they may notice they have an "HQ Code" in the top right-hand corner of the Community menu. They should inform their friends of this code, which they can then enter into the "Input HQ Code" section to join.

Once they do so, they should connect to the player's hub along with any other random players. Once everyone is together in the same HQ, the host can then select a quest from the Quest Board. In order for their friends to join them, they too will need to select the Quest Board as well. They should choose the "Party Quest" option, which should show the initial player's selected quest which they can then join.

Those who do not want to be matched with random people to fill out the party, will need to create their own private HQ. Just like before, one player should access the Community tab, though will this time need to select the "Create Private HQ" option instead. This will bring them to their own private HQ, from which they can then invite players by providing them with the HQ code.

For most players, playing with a full party of four is going to be the optimal way to play Babylon's Fall. Either with friends or strangers though, they're going to have to learn how to cooperate and communicate if they're to have any hope of overcoming the many challenges that the Ziggurat poses.

Babylon's Fall is available for PS4, PS5, and PC.
