Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is likely one of the most anticipated superhero films of all time. Although the film is a few years off, America Chavez actress Xochitl Gomez is excited about her potential role in the next Avengers flick.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is the first of two Avengers films released over a year. A follow-up film, Avengers: Secret Wars, will be out just under a year after The Kang Dynasty's release. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will see Jonathan Majors' Kang enact his as-yet unknown plan. The Avengers, of course, will be there to stop him, but it will be a struggle. Kang might be a bigger threat than Thanos, so every Avenger needs to pitch in to help bring him down.

Gomez, who plays America Chavez, spoke to Deadline about where she'd like to see America go in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. “Not to say that I’m in that movie, but if I were in that movie, I don’t know…" Gomez said. "I would like to see a very powerful America [Chavez]. I mean, I’d like to see… Obviously, in 'Doctor Strange [in the Multiverse of Madness],' she didn’t know what she was doing. She was scared, she was running away, and she didn’t really know how to use her powers. And I think, hopefully, she’s got some– a little bit of training under her belt. So I’d like to see more of a secure America.”

It's no surprise Gomez is coy about her character's potential return in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Few details have been officially revealed about the project, though screenwriter Jeff Loveness has hinted that audiences will see Namor Tenoch Huerta's Namor in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. While some of Gomez's co-stars (like Tom Holland) are known for their accidental exposure of spoilers, thus far, Gomez has been careful not to reveal too much about the MCU's future.

The character would undoubtedly be an asset against Kang's multiversal crusade. The MCU's multiverse has been influential in this phase of the franchise, with the venture even being dubbed the "Multiverse Saga." Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will likely see the culmination of this storyline, and America's powers are geared towards multiversal travel, making her someone the Avengers might soon need to rely on.

It's also possible that America's hypothetical appearance in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could set up a future Young Avengers project. Though Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania producer Stephen Broussard has said there are no plans for a Young Avengers project, he did acknowledge that the MCU is trying to set up for its future by establishing new, younger characters like America. Fans have also noticed that several Young Avengers have been popping up in the MCU, which has led to speculation that the project will be on the docket soon enough.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.
