Avatar: The Last Airbender has finally arrived on Netflix. The streaming platform added the show to its library earlier this week, along with a few other items.

Its addition isn't too much of a surprise as Netflix announced back in April that it would bring The Last Airbender over to American audiences starting May 15. Still, Netflix has been streaming Avatar in other countries for a while now, so it's a wonder why it took so long for the show to stream in its country of origin.

Regardless, it's here now, and it contains all three seasons to boot. So fans can binge its 61-episode run without worry. It's definitely worth the watch for anyone unfamiliar with it, and its opening credits are famous for their ability to tell viewers everything they need to know in about only a minute.

Watching the series is also an excellent way to prepare for the live-action adaptation that Netflix plans to make. The streaming platform will develop the retelling with its original creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, acting as producers and showrunners. There's no word on when the live-action remake will release, but watching the animated version in the meantime can't be recommended enough.

Avatar: The Last Airbender initially premiered on Nickelodeon in 2006.
