Avatar: The Last Airbender fan Raise a Fist has recreated Avatar's opening sequence to great effect. He posted his efforts onto Twitter and has asked viewers to help him get the video noticed by Netflix so that he might have a chance of being picked up for the streaming service's upcoming live-action remake.

Netflix's live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender will be a retelling of the famous anime-inspired show. Unlike the cinematic failure that released a decade ago, this live-action remake won't be a movie but a full-on tv show. And the series original creators — Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko — will be in charge of it.

When recreating Avatar: The Last Airbender's opening, Raise a Fist put his own spin on things. He didn't do the same martial arts stunts used in the original sequence, opting instead to perform maneuvers from the training discipline called Tricking, which incorporates flips and twists from gymnastics, along with various breakdancing moves. The result sees him creating an opening that shows off a lot more athleticism than what's occurs in the original.

If Raise a Fist does manage to get on the show, he wants to play The Boulder, an earth bender known for the way he talks in the third person. The Boulder isn't too important of a character but does happen to be one of the show's more famous quirky ones. He's right up there with The Last Airbender's Cabbage Man, who always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, thus getting his cabbage cart destroyed, which is one of the show's reoccurring jokes.

In the animated series, The Boulder doesn't appear until Season 2, so unless Netflix takes some liberties with the show, Raise a Fist wouldn't be on the small screen for a few years. How long exactly remains a mystery as the show doesn't even have a release window yet, though it is in development, and currently looking for actors. Hopefully, Raise a Fist manages to get an audition.

While waiting for the live-action adaptation to premiere, fans can catch the animated version of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix right now. The streaming service has all three seasons on the platform for anyone interested in watching it for the first or thousandth time. The live-action will likely adapt the animation's plotlines, but will also probably put a new spin on them to keep them fresh.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is available now on Netflix.
