Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora takes a Na’vi as the protagonist, but there are still plenty of humans who aid the native people of Pandora. One of the main figures in the story is Alma Cortez, who acts as a teacher for the children of the Sarentu, and, later on, the leader of the resistance.

Typically, players will see her in her Na’vi Avatar, but later in the game, she’ll show up in her own skin. When this happens, players will get to talk to Alma at the Entry Hub in the Resistance Headquarters in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora.

Players who are struggling to find the researcher when the game asks them to talk to Alma at the Entry Hub in the Resistance Headquarters can find her easily near the entrance of the HQ. However, Alma will now be in her human form instead of her Avatar form, which may cause people to be confused and walk past her. After spotting Alma at the Entry Hub, simply talk to her to proceed with The Wandering Clan quest in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora.

After speaking with Alma, the next thing people need to do is to investigate the sounds outside the Resistance Headquarters. Exit the HQ, and a cutscene will start where someone throws a spear at the protagonist. Upon seeing the action, So’lek scolds the visitor for her way of welcoming the Sarentu, to which she simply responds with a grin, happy to see the protagonist’s reaction.

The Na’vi introduces herself as Nesim, the olo’eyktan of the Zeswa. She says she’s impressed with how the Sarentu envoy successfully convinced the Aranahe to fight and explains that the Sky People also attacked her tribe. Ri’nela explains that an envoy of the Sarentu clan will come to the Zeswa, referencing the protagonist. Nesim turns her attention to the players and instructs them to meet her sister, Minang, who hunts beneath the Celebration Arches. To gain Minang’s attention, players must fly the Zeswa’s signal kite.

From here, the protagonist needs to make their way to the Upper Plains. At first, the journey will be done on the Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora players’ Ikran, but upon reaching the new area, the Ikran will refuse to fly as it’s a foreign land for the creature. Because of this, the Na’vi must proceed alone to the open plain.

Later on, the Zeswa will teach the protagonist how to ride the Direhorse in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora. From then on, players can make a temporary bond with a Direhorse anywhere in Pandora, not just in the Upper Plains.

A while after the main quest, the protagonist will also get the chance to connect to Eywa, which allows them to summon their own Ikran to explore the Upper Plains.
