About Drew Ferguson

Drew Ferguson has been obsessively discussing games, movies, comic books, and book-books his entire life. Somewhere along the way, he learned the dark art of putting words in an order that (some) people find cool, formally known to the world as writing. It's a skill that's led him down many different roads, some dark and some light, gaining secret powers and forbidden knowledge. Since then, he's written many things, like comic books (MALICENT BLACK, SAM AND HIS TALKING GUN, with more to come) and currently writes many a thing for TheGamer. His journey through this world is still in its beginning, and while there are other worlds than these, he's still looking forward to seeing all of the secrets this world holds.

Drew can be found streaming a few nights a week on Twitch at HeyLookItsDrew (he's currently making his way through STARFIELD and SUBNAUTICA as the jovial, kind, ever-amicable soul Reginald Dour) and Twitter @DrewMFerguson.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Drew's proudest gaming achievement is a five-match win streak in Apex Legends, a feat that he has accomplished with his finest gaming partners on two separate occasions.

Favorite Games

Drew has a plethora of favorite games and is quite prone to flights of fancy. However, most of his favorite games can be divided into two categories: RPGs and tactical FPS.

When it comes to RPGs, Drew prefers games that have worlds he can lose himself in, like FALLOUT, THE ELDER SCROLLS, STARFIELD, and ELDEN RING. He generally plays these games (the ones that have a difficulty setting) at or near the hardest difficulty imaginable, as if he has something to prove against the computer-controlled characters within.

When it comes to FPS, his favorite game is RAINBOW SIX SIEGE, and quite honestly, he's never found another competitive game like it. SIEGE has an incredible complexity to it that makes every round feel like he's solving a constantly evolving Rubix cube.

Industry Focus

While Drew certainly bounces around, his usual gaming focus is on providing tips and strategies to help players better navigate the gaming worlds they inhabit.
