Atlus recently announced a set of streaming guidelines for Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden that some fans consider less restrictive than previous attempts. Last year, the publisher announced it would be bringing the Persona series to multiple platforms after several fan requests to do so. This includes the three games that are the most popular of the series, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal, with Royal being released in the last quarter of 2022, while Portable and Golden will be launching in less than a week.Historically, Atlus has enforced a set of streaming guidelines and restrictions about what can or cannot be shown in the game that can be posted to the internet, especially for new releases. This even extends to remasters of previously released games, such as when it announced a set of streaming rules for the remaster of Persona 5 Royal, which drew the ire of fans considering Royal had been released for nearly three years accompanied by the vanilla game's six. In a move that surprised a lot of fans, the publisher released a set of streaming guidelines that fans find less restrictive than what was implemented beforehand.RELATED: Atlus Teases New Games to Be Revealed in 2023As detailed on the Japanese Persona channel website and Atlus' Twitter, streaming of the game is allowed when the multiplatform version officially launches, depending on region, with livestreaming of either game prohibited prior to the global launch of the multiplatform versions on January 19. There's also the standard practice of adding a spoiler warning when uploading or streaming the game, as to not spoil fans who are first-time players.

Unlike the restrictions in place for Persona 5 Royal's remastered re-release, there are no restrictions on players capturing footage from any segment of either Persona 4 Golden or Persona 3 Portable, or any implementation of blocking content from being recorded from in-console recording tools. There are still some other restrictions in place according to the Japanese site, such as requesting fans not to release content that is illegal or slandering any third-parties or specific players, or specific copyright notices that are for Atlus and Sega.

Many fans are excited for the remasters, giving them a new chance to be played on a wide range of accessible systems. Notably, this is Persona 3 Portable's first re-release ever since it was an exclusive on Sony's PlayStation Portable in 2009, along with the first re-release of Persona 3 in over two decades. The full list of rules can be found on the Japanese websites for Atlus' Persona series.

Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be available on January 19 for PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
