As the conclusion of the East Anglia arc in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Wedding Horns presents a challenge regardless of the choices players made in the previous quest. This quest will play out differently depending on what players decide in A Fury from the Sea and can include anything from a fight with the antagonist of this quest line to a short race.
Either way, Wedding Horns features an array of different gameplay mechanics and, as the name implies, a wedding. For those players looking to complete this quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, this guide is here to help.
How to Start Wedding Horns in Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
This celebration begins in the town of Elmenham with a conversation with Oswald. Players will find this character at the church entrance in this small village in East Anglia. Opening up a dialogue with him will begin the wedding cutscene. After Oswald and Valdis get married, Eivor is dropped into the celebrations of the wedding and, to complete this section, players must participate in both an archery and a drinking competition.
The archery contest is closest to where players are dropped off, and it begins when players speak with Brothir. There are seven large pots that need to be destroyed in under 20 seconds. The other challenge is located by the barrel of alcohol and Broder will call Eivor over. This challenge can come along with a bet as well but, regardless of silver wagered, this functions as all other drinking challenges. Players need to perfect their timing and adjust their stance randomly throughout. Similarly to a bug, players will exist this contest with blurred vision from Eivor's drunkenness.
This opens up the next phase of the quest and a pair of objectives: get Finnr down from the roof and interact with the food table. Walking close to the food table near the drinking challenge will start a quick cutscene in which players can romance Broder. There are no story repercussions for choosing to do so but pursuing this relationship will lead to some unique dialogue.
Especially important in this romance opportunity is a dialogue option where Eivor has to remember which brother they have chosen to get closer to: Broder or Brothir. Aside from this romantic opportunity, Finnr can be found on a platform near the roof of the church. Players will need to pick him up and carry him to the ground in order to continue the quest.
What are the Different Paths for Wedding Horns?
Players then need to interact with Oswald in order to bring on the final part of this quest. If players decided to spare Rued in A Fury from the Sea, this character will interrupt the speech and present players will an impactful choice: fight Rued yourself or allow Oswald to enter into combat again. If players choose to enter the fray themselves they will have to take on this boss but will gain the respect of Finnr and add him to the longship crew. If players choose to allow Oswald to fight, Rued will be banished, Finnr will remain in East Anglia, and the quest will end.
If players made the choice to kill Rued in the previous quest then the speech is allowed to come to a close. Instead of a boss fight, players are dropped into a short race to the local longhouse. From the stage, players need to race into the crowd and towards the east. Once they enter the longhouse, a final cutscene will play. This will drop players back in the longhouse where they can recruit Finnr to their crew to complete Wedding Horns.
