As players work their way through Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Ledecestrescire arc, they will encounter two quests to pursue. This option opens up after players complete the Bartering quest and gain information on the potential whereabouts of King Burgred. Those players that head northeast towards Templebrough can pursue The Walls of Templebrough quest.

This quest pits players against an entire fort full of enemies, on the hunt for King Burgred's wife, Lady Aethelswith. For those Assassin's Creed Valhalla players looking to complete this mission, this guide is here to help.

Where to Start The Walls of Templebrough?

Of the two quests that players need to complete in order to progress this arc, The Walls of Templebrough requires players to head to the far north of this region of England. As the quest's name implies, players will find Sigurd just outside the walls of Templebrough Fort and at a camp to the west. Speaking with Sigurd will begin this quest.

How to Capture Lady Aethelswith?

From the camp, players need to head to the east and to the walls of Templebrough Fort. Fortunately, players can lean on Eivor's raven to help identify the general search area within this fort. There is a clear, implied path up the scaffolding and onto the top of these defensive walls. From here, head to the southeast along the ramparts and around the main fortification until players encounter the opening that leads to the heart of the fort.

Players can either attempt to sneak in or knock out the chandelier and openly attack the handful of guards just inside but keep in mind this room is home to one of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's abilities via a Book of Knowledge. Follow the stairs down and open the door to the next area and a cutscene will begin in which Eivor and Sigurd will engage with a group of women.

Unfortunately, Eivor discovers that Lady Aethelswith has begun her escape from Templebrough Fort. The goal is to locate, grab, and return this character to the original camp as quickly as possible. For those that haven't cleared the fort, this may be an issue as taking a straight path will run them into basically all the fort's defenders. Regardless, Lady Aethelswith is on a small watercraft heading roughly southwest along the river.

There are a few different ways to capture her anything from using Eivor's Longship and its crew or a similar watercraft to following along on the shore and taking out the servant rowing it. Once that servant is killed, Lady Aethelswith will swim to shore where Eivor can tie her up. Toss this hostage onto a horse and deliver her back to the camp in order to complete the mission.
