Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Ostara Festival features several new quests for players to complete, one of which is titled Spiritual Defense. In this quest, fans will need to light a series of firepits and perform a ritual in an attempt to protect Ravensthorpe from evil spirits. For those players that may find themselves stuck as they work on these various objectives, this guide contains a full walkthrough of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Spiritual Defense quest.

Before getting into the details of completing this new quest in AC Valhalla, it may be worth describing how it is initiated. To put things simply, fans that want to tackle Spiritual Defense should track it under the Ostara Festival section of their Quests tab and then navigate to the waypoint that is provided. Once a player has arrived at this location, they should wait until nightfall to trigger a conversation with Ake and set things into motion.

With the quest initiated, fans must now find and light eight firepits, and this is the objective that is likely to prove the most difficult. Indeed, while the firepits should show up as waypoints on AC Valhalla's map, that does not appear to be happening for every player. That said, fans that are encountering this issue can simply reference the following video, which highlights the exact locations of all eight firepits, in order to easily complete this quest step.

When the final fire is burning, Assassin's Creed Valhalla players will then be instructed to return to Ake, and he can be found where the quest was started. From there, fans should follow the NPC to the top of the nearby hill, speak with him, and wait until nightfall to perform the ritual. At this point all that is left to do is activate the Foul Totem on the hill and kill the Spirits that appear, and players will find that they have completed Spiritual Defense and earned their rewards as soon as they finish those tasks.

With respect to exactly what those rewards are, players that take on this quest during AC Valhalla's Ostara Festival will receive some XP and 140 Festival Tokens. Most certainly, it is the Tokens that will be of the most interest to a majority of fans, as they can be exchanged for a variety of festive cosmetics. These cosmetics include new tattoos and hair styles, and players that want to obtain them all should turn their attention to the event's other quests and minigames.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
