Many of Assassin's Creed Valhalla fans are already aware that choices in missions can vary from importance. Some are just for fun, while others can become one of the many mistakes in Assassin's Creed Valhalla that impact the storyline for the game and how the character interacts with the world.

After the "Heavy is the Head" quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players are tasked by Ubba to search for Ceolbert in the Isle of Waifs. After following the waypoint, gamers will hear Ceolbert having a discussion with Leofrith on the water's edge and will be forced into a duel after a brief cutscene.

Once the player wins the fight, they will be given the option to kill Leofrith that says "Pray to your god now" or spare him saying "Burgred abandoned you," a choice that will make the rest of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla playthrough either extremely difficult or relatively the same. Here is what happens for fans who want to take a glimpse at the future outcome of both choices.

Stealth

Sparing Leofrith

If gamers decide to let Leofrith live, he will reward the gesture by telling them a secret. There is a scroll with Eivor's name on it in Venonis, prompting the Zealots to hunt and kill Eivor. If players can reach the scroll first before them and burn it, then they will not be hunted. After walking back with Ceolbert, the Hunted quest will now open for the player.

Killing Leofrith

If gamers are tempted and want to kill Leofrith, Eivor will applaud Leofirth for his courage in battle before ending him. Ceolbert will state that killing Leofrith was unjust, and as they are heading back to the brothers, a message will pop up saying that Zealots will now actively pursue the player. And if the gamer also ever comes across them in public, they will attack on sight. The Hunted quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla will also now be locked, preventing them from fixing this.

If Assassin's Creed Valhalla players spare Leofrith they can fast travel to Venonis, if they are already synched there, and use Synin to find the statue. After burning the note, a message will pop up that the player is safe from the Zealots, but they are still tough enemies and should be taken seriously. Fans might be more inclined to save Leofrith to avoid the constant threats of Zealots. Or if they like the extra challenge, maybe killing Leofrith is the better decision for them. Either way, hopefully, this guide helps Assassin's Creed Valhalla players make the best decision for themselves.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
