Once players have made their way to England in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, they will be given the quests Settling Down and The Alliance Map. These both play a vital role in the core part of this game and task players with selecting where Eivor will go next. These quests require an assault on a local monastery as well as conversations with some of the key players of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

How to Complete Settling Down in Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
After naming Ravensthorpe, players are sent to speak with Gunnar, whose tent is just by the waterfront. When interacted with, Gunnar will inform Eivor that in order to set up his shop, the clan is going to need to acquire Raw Materials and Supplies from a local monastery. With this conversation done, players can board their longship and head northwest up the river to the Alcestre Monastery.
As the first raid on a monastery in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, this can be a bit overwhelming for players. The key is to locate and remove all the available Raw Materials and Supplies at this location. There are two of these located at this monastery: one in the back of the tall church and another inside the only locked stone building here. Outside this mission, raiding monasteries is essential for those looking to build up Ravensthorpe, as structures within this community can only be built with both Raw Material and Supplies.
While the crew will engage the defenders of the monastery, a player's priority should be acquiring 30 Raw Materials. Begin by breaking through the door of the structure closest to the river in this compound (the church). Players need to walk up to the massive, golden chest inside and interact with it in order to summon a Viking friend and open the chest and acquire the Raw Materials inside.
These locations are great places to gather materials and treasure in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and players should use Odin's Sight to find everything here.
The other of these chests is within the building with red, locked doors. As with opening the Raw Material chests, these doors can only be opened by two people. Inside will be a group of enemies protecting the final chest at the Alcestre Monastery. Another noteworthy material to gather here are Supplies which are located in the final stone structure furthest back from the river.
These Supplies are within a normal chest, and with this chest plundered, players can work their way back to the Longship, hop on board, and sail back to Ravensthorpe.
To put these spoils to use, players need to interact with the Raven Clan sign just outside of Gunnar's tent and purchase him a new forge. From here, players need to locate Sigurd, who is in a room inside the Longhouse.
Speaking with Sigurd prompts the player with the option to interact with three aspects of this room: an envelope that relays Ravensthorpe's progress, a letterbox, and a large bed. Leaving the Longhouse and speaking with Sigurd just outside will bring about the cutscene that ends the mission.
How to Complete The Alliance Map in Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
Alliance Map follows just after the close of Settling Down and asks players to take control of their own journey through the rest of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Players have to work their way back into the Longhouse and head to the far side, where Randvi can be found examining a map of England.
Speaking with her brings up the option to pursue a quest line that will eventually win over a territory to form an alliance with the Raven clan.
This sets up the majority of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, as players will be asked to choose where they want to pursue quests for the main storyline. Once they decide to pledge for a specific area, they will be given a quest line they need to complete to win over this territory, after which they can return to Randvi to select the next area to explore.
To complete The Alliance Map, players need to choose either Ledecestrescire (where Sigurd has traveled) or Grantebridgescire. Both will eventually need to be completed before players can move on fully in the game.
