While playing through Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players will meet a lot of characters. From the proud leader of the Raven Clan, Sigurd, to the bloodthirsty Ivarr Ragnarsson, none of these characters will get near as much time in the spotlight as Eivor themselves. As the playable character, it's no surprise that they get a lot of love, and this cosplayer has taken that to the next level.

For those that may be unfamiliar, Eivor is Assassin's Creed Valhalla's, primary protagonist, and the character that the player controls throughout the game. The character is canonically both male and female, hence the use of their rather than his or her when referring to them.

While both male and female Eivor may be canon, this cosplayer chose to represent the male version of Eivor. This wonderful piece of art is brought to fans by none other than Taryn, a titan in the cosplay community. Those that follow him are no doubt familiar with some of his other work as well, including a previous Assassin's Creed protagonist, Alexios.

Above is just a smattering of Taryn's approach to Eivor, and there's a link in the tweet that leads to a whole album of his work. In these, Eivor is rocking the full Raven Clan armor set, the main one that players will probably wear for a good portion of the game before upgrading to other things. The sheer level of detail in these shots is amazing, and it's very clear that Taryn has played the game himself, going so far as to do his makeup to match options that are available within the tattoo shops at Ravensthorpe.

Also of note is the detail and design of the axe, which looks to be incredibly well made. Even if it isn't actually wrought of iron, it fits the cosplay so well that it's hard to tell. Taryn's poses are also pretty neat, showing off Eivor just as they appear in the game, stalwart and always ready for a battle. For those that are familiar with what the man looks like outside of cosplay, it's clear a lot of makeup work went into making him appear gruffer as well, another nice touch.

There's no doubt that seeing amazing cosplay like this is enough to make one wish for an awesome live action movie, though it's already tried live action Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft and Netflix are teaming up to give it another shot. Hopefully they recruit talent like Taryn when it comes to designing the costumes, as he's clearly proven his worth in that department.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
