Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How to Start The Last Chapter

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's The Last Chapter DLC brings Eivor's saga to a close, and here is how you can start it.

How To Start The Tombs Of The Fallen DLC

Eivor interacting with the Manius's Sanctum tomb in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The Tombs of the Fallen DLC is not accompanied by a quest that can be tracked. Instead, players must begin their hunt at their settlement, Ravensthorpe. While at the settlement, players must head southward towards the river where they can find a group of women discussing the strange behavior of animals.

Approaching the women kicks off a cutscene where Eivor learns about the animals behaving strangely. Eivor then sends out their raven, Sýnin, to scout the area, which reveals a large tornado-like spire.

As players approach the spire, they'll discover a rune-engraved rock. Interacting with the rock unveils the entrance to Manusius' Sanctum. Exploring the cave to its end reveals the map of England with five marked locations. These markings indicate five similar tombs that players must find and explore to complete the Tombs of the Fallen DLC.

Listed below are all five Tombs of the Fallen along with location images for reference:

Boudicca Tomb

The Boudicca tomb is located east of Ravensthorpe in East Anglia. The closest fast travel point is the Britannia's Watch highpoint in central East Anglia. Players must travel north of Britannia's Watch and scout the region using Sýnin to spot the tornado spire.

Approaching the spire will reveal the rune-engraved rock, which, when interacted with, unlocks the entrance to the tomb. Once players are inside the tomb, they must explore the dungeon and solve the puzzles to gain access to the main tomb room. The artifact itself is located in an adjacent tunnel, west of the main tomb.

Cassivellauinus Tomb

The Cassivellaunus Tomb is located west of Ravensthorpe in Sciropescire. Players can easily find the tomb once they reach Bomere Lake. The tomb is a short distance northeast of the lake. Players can also fast travel to the harbor on the Afon Hafren River, which is the closest fast travel location to the tomb.

While in the tomb, it's advised that players head in the northern direction until they eventually take a zipline. Players must drop midway from the zipline and dive into a small water reservoir to collect the Cassivellauinus tomb artifact.

Venutius Tomb

Venutius' tomb is located far north of Ravensthorpe in the region called Eurviscire of Northumbria. Players can find the Venutius tomb easily as it is closer to Anlaf's Lookout highpoint. Players must explore the tomb and solve the puzzles to unlock the tomb door.

After players encounter Venutius' spirit, they must head east until they come across another zipline. Drop midway from the zipline and look for a crevice to the north, covered by ice. The ice sheet can be shattered with an arrow, allowing players to access a small chamber, with the Venutius tomb artifact within.

Verica's Tomb

Verica's Tomb is located southwest of Ravesthorpe in Hamtunscire. The closest fast travel point to Verica's tomb is a harbor on the Afon River. After their encounter with Verica's spirit, players must head northward to look for the artifact.

Along the way, players must use two lifts to reach higher ground and continue heading east until they come across a crevice. Instead of taking the crevice, players must turn left and take the ladder down to reach a lava-filled grotto with the Verica's tomb artifact located east of the grotto.

Togodomnus' Tomb

Finally, players can find the Togodomnus' Tomb in the southern region of Wessex, south of Revensthorpe. The closest fast travel point to the tomb is the Foris Turre highpoint. After making their way into the tomb and solving the puzzles, players will encounter Togodomnus' spirit. After that, players must head north from the tomb and continue until they come across a grotto.

Players must dive into the water and head north while swimming underneath the water. Eventually, players will enter a room with multiple statues, with one of the statues holding Togodomnus' artifact in its palm.

Acquiring The Blazing Sword

Eivor finds the Blazing Sword in AC Valhalla

Having collected all five artifacts, players can now return to Manius's Sanctum near Ravensthorpe. As they enter the central chamber of the sanctum, a cutscene begins to play, revealing a stone console. Once players interact with the stone console, the path to an underground chamber is revealed.

Within this chamber are four puzzle rooms that require solving some light-based puzzle, connecting one light source to another. Effectively solving the puzzle allows the player to reach a platform where the Blazing Sword is embedded in a rock. Players can interact with the sword to pull it out and claim it for their own.

The Blazing Sword is not an end-game sword, as there are better alternatives available. However, some players may enjoy the sword's projectile ability that counters shielded enemies, opening them up for stun counters.
