Assassin's Creed Valhalla is going to get support and new expansions over the next year. During Ubisoft's E3 2021 presentation, the company gave a look at some content coming to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, while also teasing at least one expansion coming next year.

Ubisoft has long said it plans to continue updating Valhalla with additions well after launch. The company talked about how popular the game has been since its launch in November, and how Ubisoft expects to keep the momentum going forward.

In a new video that shows off the previously leaked Siege of Paris expansion coming later this summer, Ubisoft also talked about its plans for what will come after. The company said it plans to bring at least one new expansion pack in 2022. Though it isn't ready to say just what to expect with that particular expansion, it did offer a teaser. The presentation said Eivor might be seeing a bit more of Odin in the future.

Whether or not that means players are going to be squaring off against the Viking god, or whether Eivor might be teaming up Odin is yet to be seen. Ubisoft promises more information about future expansions in the coming months. Included in that new information is whether or not this is the third expansion that has been talked about before, or whether the 2022 addition will be the fourth expansion.

Previously, there had been whispers that the third addition to the Assassin's Creed Valhalla story could be set in North Africa. Ubisoft didn't shed any light on whether or not those rumors are true during the Ubisoft Forward presentation. All that means is that the company isn't ready to talk about whether or not that talk is accurate yet.

One new update the company did talk about was something that will be offered free to all Valhalla players. Discovery Tour: Viking Age will allow for users to play as regular Vikings set in the same era where Eivor is leading the clan in one battle after another. With the Siege of Paris expected to take Assassin's Creed Valhalla eight years in the future, it will be interesting to see whether these new story additions will jump backward in time, or continue on the timeline.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
