With the newest installment into the series with Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, many fans have enjoyed the constant additions that have been put into the game from Ubisoft. One of these changes being the newest River Raids update in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

These quests can be started by talking to Vagn and Sunniva and joining their River Raid Crew. Just like in true Norse Viking style, gamers have the ability to form a group of eight Vikings to attack different kinds of camps along the River Exe and the River Severn places. There are two different kinds of camps, Civilian Locations, and Military Locations; military locations being more heavily guarded but offer better loot.

There will be treasure chests at these military camps that have new special armor sets in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and other items. Sadly some of these boxes require a special kind of key to open them. The River Raid Key acts differently from the other types of keys in the game, making it a little harder to find. So for fans looking for a little extra help with gathering the River Raid Keys in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, here is how to find them.

AC Valhalla River Raids Update Avaialble now

River Raid Keys are different from normal ones because there is no yellow key icon that will appear when using Odin's Vision. Instead, the general area will be a little white blur, similar to when players solve key puzzles in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla while looking for Gold Chests. Once gamers get close enough, the option will come up to collect it. From there, fans will be able to open any of the chests River Raid chests. Sadly, gamers will have to find a new one each time they want to open a new chest.

Inside these special chests, the type of items that can be collected are resources for the power level rune and different runes that can be equipped with any of the weapons or armor in the game. Even some new Saint George-themed armor sets can be hidden among these chests. So make sure to scavenge every little nook and cranny on the map because some of these keys can be hidden in more obscure places like a pile of clothes.

Luckily, if Assassin's Creed: Valhalla players happen to miss a key while on their expedition or their longboat storage gets full, these raids are replayable, and they will always have the option to travel back to Ravensthorpe and come back later.  Hopefully, this guide helps players who are looking to score big time on these new raids.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla and the River Raid update are available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
