Assassin's Creed: Valhalla provides players with a completely different gaming experience compared to its eleven predecessors. Gamers are sent back to a time in history when the Germanic tribes invaded the British isles. One of the unique aspects of the game is the ability to track down and hunt legendary animals. Players that collect all eleven will earn several impressive rewards, as long as they have a hunting lodge at their settlement. Namely, players will receive the Vordr's Bite axe, as well as the Petra's Arc bow. This guide will explain where each animal is located and the best methods for hunting them.

Norway

Norway Alpha Animals Valhalla

Gamers should have he entire storyline completed, as they will have to travel to Norway to find two of the legendary beasts.

Elk Of Bloody Peaks

Players will find the legendary Elk if they travel directly west from the F in Fornburg. The Elk is near the top of the mountain, so players will need to make their way up it. Gamers should be near the peak and exactly to the west of the bottom of the F in Fornburg. Players will want to use brush of death to time dodges when the Elk attacks, as it is quite fast. However, the Elk should not pose too much of a threat to assassins that have completed the campaign.

Bear Of The Blue Waters

The giant polar bear is located on the north end of Norway on a small island just to the south of Hordafylke. Gamers should use the map above as a reference, but the island is just to the east of the larger island directly below Hordafylke. The Bear of the Blue Waters can be difficult to defeat, as it has a lot of health. Assassins should try to attack the bear from behind, which will negate most of the animal's attacks.

England

England Legendary Animals Valhalla

There are a total of seven alpha animals in England. The animals are scattered throughout the isle, and gamers will need to traverse each part of the island to locate all of them.

Corse Feeders: Hwit, Eald, and Niht

The Corpse Feeders are located in north Oxenefordscire northeast of Buckingham. The trio of wolves can be annoying to deal with because they will constantly attack one by one, and players will have to guess which will attack next. Assassins will want to have Miasma leveled up, as well as poison strike to inflict continuous damage on each wolf.

Gemad-Wulf

Players will need to travel to northeast Lincolnscire. The Gemad spawns at the lake south of Grimsby and east of Spitalgate. Gemad will be much easier to take down than the Corpse Feeders. The alpha animal's AI can be manipulated if it is forced into a corner. Tyr kicks and daggers are enough to defeat Gemad.

Black Shuck

The next legendary creature spawns on the island in southeast East Anglia. Gamers can scout for the creature on the south end of the island. Players may have some trouble fighting the fast and relentless Black Shuck, which will charge constantly once it has less than half health. Assassins should use the harpoon impaler to pull it close and dodge to evade its persistent attacks.

Aelfred's Battle Sow

Gamers will need to ride to Tuicca's farm in Suthsexe to find the animal. Much like the polar bear, players will want to stay near the back of the bull, which deals devastating attacks with its horns. Miasma and poison strikes will be helpful as well.

Beast Of The Hills

The next legendary animal is a gigantic bear that happened upon several leaking barrels of wine. Players will have to enter the cave near the pawprint displayed on the map above and make their way to the cellar.

Bloodwine

The Bloodswine is located in east Snotinghamscire, to the south of Anlaf's lookout. Gamers will have trouble spotting the boar, which will burrow in areas near tall grass. Players that use evade properly to dodge its charge should dispose of the beast relatively quickly.

Wildcats Of Weald

The final alpha animals in England are the Wildcats Of Weald. Assassins will find the cats to the southwest of Wincestre, just across the river. Gamers should focus on taking down the larger and more powerful Lynx before killing the smaller cat.

Vinland

Vinland Valhalla

Assassins will need to travel all the way to Vinland to hunt O Yan Do' Ne, a legendary moose. Players will need to finish the London Arc to unlock Vinland. The giant moose is located across the river from Kahrhaken:rate. Gamers can cross the river to the east, or ride northeast after crossing the bridge in the south of town. Players can defeat the beast by using the same strategies as the bull and polar bear.

Jotunheim

Jotunheim Valhalla

Steinbjorn in Jotuneim is by far the most painstaking alpha beast to hunt. Players that do not have Jotunheim unlocked will need to complete the seer hut's Asgard arc beforehand.
