Assassin's Creed Valhalla is as much about exploring the vast lands of Norway and England as it is about actually assassinating people, so it's no surprise that players sometimes find themselves stumped about certain puzzles or mysteries. While exploring Eatun Barn, a small farmstead just outside of Oxeneforda in Oxenefordscire, many players are finding a key that they don't know what to do with. This isn't a glitch, bug, or anything like that, but it is a bit unusual from what keys are usually used for. Most of the time, players can use Odin's Sight to find a locked door to use the key on, but this time players need to find a locked chest.

For those that don't know what key this is referring to, there are a few steps needed to get ahold of it in the first place. Starting from the beginning, the first thing players need to do is travel to Eatun Barn. From here, open up the map and take note of the blue colored scroll icon, then mark the dim yellow light just below it. This is how Assassin's Creed Valhalla shows treasures that aren't full wealth collectibles.

Once at Eatun Barn, head in the direction of the marker until finding a large wall that looks like it can be broken. Turn around and find an exploding oil jar nearby and throw it at the wall to break it open. Alternatively, players with the exploding arrow skill (Assassin's Creed Valhalla calls it Black Powder Trap) can skip this step entirely by blasting a hole in the wall with that ability.

Inside this cave there should be a large statue covered in moss, and using Odin's Sight will reveal that it is holding a key. Climb up to its left hand and grab the key, but don't jump off just yet. The left hand of the statue is also pointing towards a platform where players can find more loot and whatnot, so jump across to it from the statue's hand. Here, there is a small chest that players can use the key to unlock, getting some iron, leather, and potentially other resources as well.

While here, it makes sense to also grab the treasure map that is found within this cave. Jump back down by the statue and find the large, moveable pile of rocks. Pull this out of the way and it will reveal another secret path that leads to one of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's many treasure maps.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is avaialble now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
