Ubisoft has just announced that a new crossover event is happening between Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Capcom action-RPG Monster Hunter World. Already accessible now, the collaboration involves allowing players of Assassin's Creed Valhalla to dress up their Eivor, mount, and scout in skins designed after the iconic monsters in Monster Hunter World. For avid fans of the Ubisoft video game, this crossover event is not something that suddenly came out of the blue. Recently, an Assassin's Creed Valhalla datamine revealed that new armor sets will be making its way into the video game, specifically from Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter World. The datamine was proven true when the Destiny 2 armor was implemented last December 1. And now, a few weeks after, a Monster Hunter World-themed armor set is now available for players in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.RELATED: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Won't Have Achievements on SteamOn Twitter Ubisoft recently made the announcement that the crossover between Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Monster Hunter World is already available in-game. In the post, the team dropped a short video featuring what players can expect from the collaboration. It includes an armor set that Eivor can equip based on Monster Hunter World's Odogaron equipment, a mount skin that makes it look like Eivor is riding through England on an actual Odogaron, and a cosmetic skin that turns Eivor's scout into a miniature replica of the ice monster Legiana.

The collaboration event video also showed off several Monster Hunter World-themed weapons that Eivor can wield and use in the game. Named the Garon Hatchet and Garon Rod, these are based after acual weapons in Monster Hunter World, though the designs have been tweaked to fit the Assassin's Creed Valhalla universe. Many fans of both video games expressed their approval of the crossover online. However, there were those who also wondered why it took so long for both companies to finally work together, especially since Monster Hunter World has already had collaborations with the Assassin's Creed series in the past.

Despite how long it took for Ubisoft to finally implement the partnership with Monster Hunter World, fans of both games now have more incentive to keep playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla. With the development team's support and content drawing to a close with Assassin's Creed Valhalla's The Last Chapter, the community should likely expect that the focus will now be on the next title in the series. Hopefully these minor content updates will keep players entertained until the next Assassin's Creed title is released in the future.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on Amazon Luna, PC, Stadia, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
