Players taking on the Ledecestrescire arc in Assassin's Creed Valhalla complete The Sons of Ragnar only to open up the Bartering quest. This gives players the opportunity to change the outcome of the fight between the Viking forces and their king and the current King Burgred.

Where to Start Bartering?
Players need to make their way west from Tamworth Fortress to regroup with Sigurd and the sons of the legendary Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, Ubba and Ivarr. These three are waiting for Eivor on the outskirts of Tonnastadir, a large encampment run by Tonna. This will likely be the first time players need to make their way to this location, and it can be reached by heading directly west from Tamworth Fortress.
These three characters can be found on the road leading to the entrance of Tonnastadir. Speaking to Sigurd will launch this quest and bring about a walk to the gate of this encampment. Once players arrive at the gates they open up a conversation with Tonna and a cutscene with a decision that has to be made.
How to Learn More About King Bergred's Location?
In this conversation, there aren't any major story choices that impact Assassin's Creed Valhalla's ending, but players with some charisma will be presented with three options: pay Tonna 520 silver, pay half of that, or refuse to pay. Paying Tonna 520 silver takes that amount of money from a player, and she will provide information on two possible locations for King Bergred.
The same is true for the option to pay half, but players will need to participate in at least one Flyting contest in order to improve their charisma enough. The third option is the one that requires the most amount of work. Players have to infiltrate the camp and find evidence of the potential locations of the retreating King. The evidence needed is within the building to the right as players enter the main gate.
This is Tonna's home, and inside there is a destructible part of the floor. Through this hole in the floor is where the information can be found. Down this hole and in the chest is an offer from King Bergred that mentions his possible locations: Ledecestre and Templebrough. Regardless of the path chosen, once the information has been gained, players need to regroup with Lyftmere's Pond to the south of Tonnastadir.
