Assassin's Creed Shadows has been a long time coming for fans. Ubisoft first teased a possible Japan-set Assassin's Creed game in 2012 with AC3, then displaying an Egyptian Eye of Horus, Greek Omega Symbol, and Japanese Torri during a pivotal cutscene. It would be years before these teases came to fruition, with Assassin's Creed Shadows being a highly-anticipated release at least in part because of its setting. Already, it's clear how AC Shadows is bringing its Japan setting to life, but fans will also be able to get even more insight into that with its official art book.

Game ZXC can exclusively reveal that The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows, published by Dark Horse Books in partnership with Ubisoft, will release on November 19 in bookstores and November 20 in comic shops. This means fans will be able to go hands-on with it just days after Assassin's Creed Shadows' official release date of November 15 (although there are options that will let some begin playing on November 12).

For fans of the franchise, it'll be a great way to get a little extra bang for their buck; it could be a great way to get a deeper look at the world of Assassin's Creed Shadows. It begins in Japan, 1579, in the early days of the turbulent Sengoku period. Players will take on two protagonists: Naoe and Yasuke, a shinobi Assassin from Iga and the historical African Samurai, respectively. Their journey begins as one of revenge, but it seems they will grow closer as they push toward their journey. Around them is a beautiful world that will be encaptured in this art book, alongside characters, new details, designs, weapons, and so much more.

What all it entails remains to be seen, but for fans wanting a more in-depth look at the world of Assassin's Creed Shadows, this art book might be hard to beat.
