Ancient Greece gave us many quotes that people still use today. Some from characters featured in Assassin's Creed Odyssey such as Sokrates, Sappho, and Leonidas. The game comes with many of its own memorable quotes. Some funny, some heartwarming, and others harshly real.

When choosing which sibling to hear these quotes from, it comes down to what you want from the character. Despite the dialogue and options being the same, voice actors Melissanthi Mahut and Michael Antonakos do a great job of making the characters their own. Alexios comes across as more carefree and more open with his feelings. Whilst Kassandra is more intelligent and self-aware. Because of these subtle differences, certain moments and dialogue are more memorable when coming from one of the siblings.

10 Kassandra - I Was Protecting My Brother Because You Wouldn't!

The meeting with your father in Megaris includes the first major decision in the game. Kill him or let him live!

When confronting Nikolas he attempts to defend his actions (throwing you and your infant sibling off a cliff!) Its a powerful and intense moment. Alexios is blunt and angry during the dialogue- as he damn well would be! But Kassandra's delivery is much more chilling. She keeps her head more and makes sure Nikolas knows exactly what he has done and how he doesn't deserve to feel peace. It wasn't her job to protect her brother; he failed them both as their father.

9 Alexios - I'll Make This a Day You'll Never Forget

Family Values is one of the game's more humorous quests. A parody on Oedipus, a young boy named Supideo hires Alexios to retrieve his sword from a local blacksmith and his shield from a bandit. The blacksmith, Kosta, offers an enticing exchange for the weapon.

While it is not necessary to seduce Kosta, it's certainly the more amusing path. The sass with which Alexios delivers this line, along with the parting words "No, you won't" when the blacksmith declares he'll never forget him, is utterly priceless!

8 Kassandra - This S**t Happens Every Week

As this is Melissanthi Mahut's favorite line, it's no wonder she delivers it best!

Being the second line the main character has, it's arguably very important. It's clear here that Kassandra has been dealing with this nonsense for far too long and she's tired of it. This sets up her next conversation with Phoibe and ultimately the first chapter of the game. She's emotionally and physically exhausted and ready to get off this small town island! There is no anger when Kassandra delivers this line. Just plain exhaustion.

7 Alexios - Did He Say Cyclops? Did He Hurt Your Feelings?

The final revenge on the cyclops is a funny moment, that comes much more naturally to Alexios. After the previous quote, we know the Cyclops has been making Alexios's life hell. So now, here is a final silly form of payback. It's not even necessary as you defeat the Cyclops a moment later!

With, Alexios, this line comes with much more mocking and playground-esque teasing. Not only does this make the moment funny, but it also becomes a lot more satisfying when Alexios disposes of the Cyclops's eye. Although the goat didn't really deserve it!

6 Kassandra - Order, Choas… If Either Triumphs Alone the world Dies

Layla meeting with Kassandra in Atlantis reveals a chilling future for the character. For over 2,500 years Kassandra lived alone and watched those she fought for die. It's heartbreaking and intense.

It's certainly a moment that works undoubtedly best with Kassandra. For one, Alexios doesn't look right in that suit! But more importantly, Kassandra's direct approach is what Layla needs to hear. She needs to understand the burden she is taking in this short exchange. There is also a numbness when Kassandra speaks, showing how tired she is and how ready she is to walk away from the staff.

5 Alexios -  There's Another Goat?

What is it with Alexios and goats!

This line also happens to be Michael Antonakos's favorite. Like the goat on Kephallonia, this is a small moment of comic relief in a sea of emotional and heartbreaking scenes. When delivered, it's said with so much genuine curiosity! As Alexios lived in a small town and has never been to an Athenian Symposium before, perhaps he thinks the goats are just the standard here! Alexios makes this moment funny and oddly endearing. Helped, of course, by Alkibiades!

4 Kassandra - Sometimes I Think About ... A Simpler Life

Legacy of the Hidden Blade was a disappointing DLC, to say the least. Players were angry about being forced into a heterosexual romantic relationship. Then it gave us a depressing ending where Kassandra has to say goodbye to her son for mostly unexplained reasons!

But what's great about this line is that, opposed to Alexios's delivery, Kassandra talks about this simple life like it is just a passing fancy and something she has considered casually. Rather than something she is very serious about. She'd maybe like a kid someday, but it's not something she desperately needs. This is much more in line with the character.

3 Alexios - I'd Ask For You, Thaletas. Now and Forever By My Side.

Sometimes Alexios can do more than smack talk!

The Delos Islands questline is a beautifully constructed story. Involving the option of romancing Kyra, a rebel leader, or Thaletas, a Spartan general. Both romances are easily the best in the game, with some truly heartwrenching twists.

Given that most "romances" are random hook-ups, Alexios baring his feelings at this moment is a key development in the character. The chemistry between Alexios and Thaletas is undeniable. With this line, Alexios makes it clear what his true feelings are. These two deserved a happy ending!

2 Kassandra - Earth, Mother of All, I Greet You

The death of Phoibe is one of the saddest moments in the entire game. She was like family to Kassandra and there for her since the beginning.

This moment is undeniably heartbreaking, regardless of which sibling you choose. Both actors do a great job with this line- but Kassandra ultimately wins. There is a certain degree of shock that remains in her voice when delivering this line. She knows Phoibe is dead and she must say goodbye to her, but she isn't ready to do so.

1 Alexios - This Is For My Mother And Every Family You’ve Destroyed

Alexios gets angry way too easily at times, but there are too many moments where his anger is justified! When finally confronting Chrysis and getting your revenge, the anger in both sibling's eyes is clear. Alexios has no shame in showing any emotion through the game, and this is certainly no exception!

There is anger here, but also mourning for his family and others. It combines not only the tragic backstory we learn at the beginning of the game but all we've learned about the Cult through the game so far.
