It can be easy for players to become overwhelmed in Assassin's Creed: Mirage. Although Basim is an expert when it comes to combat, his true power lies in his stealth and assassination abilities. Because of this, players may find themselves quickly outnumbered if they alert the guards, and it can be difficult to survive a combat encounter against multiple opponents, especially when larger, armored foes are present. To avoid falling in combat, players may want to flee from combat at times. Thankfully, there is a way to sprint and dash away when players find themselves in trouble.

Here's a look at how players can sprint and run faster in Assassin's Creed: Mirage.

How To Sprint And Run Faster In Assassin's Creed: Mirage

How To Run Faster Assassins Creed Mirage

During the opening tutorial for Assassin's Creed: Mirage, players are taught how to "free run." This can be done by holding the free run button (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, Spacebar on PC). Doing so will cause Basim to jog, as well as climb, and automatically jump across obstacles. This is the best way for players to quickly Parkour and navigate the city of Baghdad. Players can control the speed at which they run by tilting the thumbstick slightly in any direction they wish to move.

To run faster, players can click the left thumbstick while moving in any direction (Hold Shift on PC). This will cause Basim to enter a sprint, allowing him to cover ground faster and evade dangers like guards and other enemies. Players are even capable of sprinting a bit faster during freerun, allowing them to traverse rooftops faster between jumps. That said, it doesn't appear that sprinting while freerunning will allow players to jump larger gaps or make it further up walls when climbing. Sprinting is only a means of covering ground faster but will not affect the freerunning mechanic when active.

Sprinting away can be a great way to elude pursuers, as there are many places to hide in Baghdad. There are numerous covered hiding spots, hay piles, and dark corners for players to slip into should they be spotted by any enemies. By sprinting away and hiding, players can quickly exit combat, allowing them to assassinate anyone foolish enough to follow and giving them a chance to slip past patrols that are now scattered. Getting the attention of guards and sprinting out of view can be a great way to cause distractions and diversions, or draw certain enemies away from doorways.
