Notoriety in Assassin's Creed Mirage
For veterans of the series, this system is nothing new. However, for those who are more used to modern entries of Assassin's Creed, the notoriety system dictates that any unlawful act done in public contributes to an increasing meter that can bring the force of the law down on Basim.
Getting caught while pickpocketing, trespassing on restricted grounds, or killing people in broad daylight are just some of the activities that can cause alarm. Depending on the notoriety accumulated, this can result in several threats:
- Level 1 - Citizens will recognize Basim and call for the guards.
- Level 2 - Archers will now be present on rooftops, with guards looking out for the Hidden One actively.
- Level 3 - An elite Shakiriyya will start hunting the player, along with all the other threats.
How to Decrease Notoriety in Assassin's Creed Mirage
There are several ways to bring down Basim's notoriety in the game, which is always highly recommended so that players can go about their business in peace.
Wanted Posters
The easiest is to locate Wanted Posters that are found around Baghdad and tear them down. Just look for the poster icon on the compass to find nearby ones, and tear them down to reduce notoriety by one level. Just be wary of the civilians that are usually looking at them.
Munadi
Another way to reduce notoriety is to use the town criers or Munadi. However, they require payment in the form of one Power Token, which can be obtained through Contracts or pickpocketing civilians. Using them will remove all notoriety in one fell swoop.
Shakiriyya
Lastly, if Basim is being hunted by the Shakiriyya, engage in combat and bring down the elite enemy to remove all notoriety. This is not going to be an easy fight, as the elite combatant is fast, using both ranged and melee attacks in combos.
