Popular Twitch streamers often take turns swapping rankings as games they specialize in become more or less popular. Streamer Asmongold has quickly risen to the top of Twitch rankings recently. Since the release of Lost Ark, the livestreamer has seen improvements in Twitch viewership, followers, and subscribers.

According to aggregated statistics, Asmongold reached a peak Twitch viewership of 427,880, an average viewership of 104,987, and rose by 414,955 followers during the month of February. The primary games that have contributed to his increased data are Smilegate's Lost Ark and FromSoftware's Elden Ring which have both seen impressive peaks views since they were released. Because of his rising analytics, Asmongold has become the third most-watched livestreamer on Twitch right behind xQc and the current leader of the Amazon platform, Fextralife.

As a result of the renewed attention to his Twitch channel, Asmongold has quickly surpassed other popular streamers like Gaules, Ibai, and Trainwrecks. He has seen a 10,000% or greater increase in each category being tracked by Twitch aggregator Sullygnome during February. Although Asmongold has seen a rise in his Twitch statistics so far this year, the previous number one Twitch streamer xQc is seeing a drop across the board other than in followers according to the same tracking data.

Asmongold doesn't shy away from taking breaks from Twitch, as he has taken some time off in the past occasionally, including recently after the passing of his mother. The popular Twitch streamer regularly posts videos to a YouTube channel called AsmongoldTV even when he's taking breaks so that he can continue updating his community. The community has also seen an increase as Asmongold's YouTube subscriber count has surpassed one million as well.

While he does still often dabble in Elden Ring and occasionally returns to the game that many members of his audience know him for, World of Warcraft, Asmongold is livestreaming Lost Ark more often than not. During a Lost Ark stream in February, Asmongold was able to accumulate 400,000 viewers simply by waiting for Lost Ark servers to go online. Leading up to the release of Elden Ring, Asmongold spent a few months going through Demon's Souls which was released for PS5 in 2020.

During times away from his main Twitch channel, Asmongold is known for continuing to stream on a secondary channel called Zackrawr which maintains its own audience despite his return to his main channel. Another potential contributing factor to Asmongold's success is his co-founder status of One True King, an organization that includes Esfand, Mizkif, and Emiru. In addition to his regular livestreaming content on Twitch, Asmongold is also typically involved in creating One True King content with other org members.
