As Dusk Falls is a captivating game that seems to come from inspired movies about robberies, hostages, crossroads, and a blend of the standard black and white morality. Forgetting the code can feel like the main character is more disappointing than usual. Don't let Jay forget and punch 5926 in.
If Jay does this correctly, he'll get some brief kudos from Dale. That can be a heartwarming moment, especially since Dale, up to this point, has been nothing but a tactless jerk. For gamers that would like to see Dale as more than just an angry bully, get the code right.
What Happens If Jay Forgets?
If Jay (or the gamer) forgets the code, Dale will step in and pry the safe open with a crowbar. It's actually impossible to not steal the money, no matter how hard the player tries, so this may seem like a bit of a false choice.
That's not entirely accurate. Since the entire game is a narrative, gamers will be treated to some unique dialogue where Dale disparages Jay. That can make the most sense with Dale's character arc, if that's the way the gamer would like to craft the story. Go ahead and try it both ways to see which one feels right.
