It looks like Armored Core 6 is selling extremely well on Steam, as it recently hit an impressive milestone on the storefront. According to SteamDB, Armored Core 6 had a peak concurrent player count of 156,171, making it 2023’s fifth-biggest launch on Steam. This total is also higher than the Dark Souls games on the storefront, and there are 116,204 gamers playing Armored Core 6 on Steam at the time of this writing. Now, it looks like Armored Core 6 is also a big hit in the UK, as it claimed the top spot in the sales chart for the region.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon was the best-selling game in the UK, pushing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to second place. 64% of all Armored Core 6 copies were sold on PS5, but fans should note that this chart is only based on physical sales. As per the same report, Bandai Namco had hoped that Elden Ring’s popularity would have an impact on the sales of Armored Core 6, allowing it to surpass previous games in the Armored Core series.

The rest of the chart features popular gaming franchises and some other titles released in 2023 that have continued to sell well. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom claimed the third spot, with FIFA 23 and Hogwarts Legacy also in the top five. A PS5 bundle helped LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga take the sixth spot in this chart, with Grand Theft Auto 5 rounding up the list. The recently released Immortals of Aveum debuted at number 21, while Mafia Trilogy and Cyberpunk 2077 saw a massive boost in sales. Overall, the chart mainly consists of new entries in popular franchises and some evergreen titles.

It’ll be interesting to see where Armored Core 6 lands next week, along with its sales performance in other regions once more data is available. FromSoftware is yet to reveal Armored Core 6’s sales numbers, but it does seem like the game has been a huge hit for the developer and Bandai Namco, especially when compared to the sales of previous games in the series.
