Armored Core 6 is From Software's triumphant return to the mech action genre. Players jumping on from the popular Soulsbourne series can expect spectacular boss fights alongside deep combat mechanics. The game features all sorts of ways to customize the player's personal AC.

Players should expect to spend a decent amount of time tuning their machine in the garage and testing it out. A difficult boss fight can become easy if players find the perfect set-up to defeat it. One particularly interesting tool players can unlock is the Weapon Bay. Armored Core 6 is sparse on details when explaining how to use it. This walkthrough will show players how to switch weapons from shoulders to arms while in battle.

How to Unlock the Weapon Bay

The Weapon Bay can be unlocked through OS Tuning. This is where players can cash in OST Chips they've won while fighting in the Arena. The Weapon Bay costs two OST chips, so fans will have to beat at least one enemy in the Arena. Purchase the Weapon Bay and it will automatically be equipped.

How to Equip Arm Weapons on Shoulders

Now that the Weapon Bay is installed head to the Assembly in the garage. When scrolling through the shoulder tabs there will now be two small squares on the shoulder weapons. Use the R1/L1 or RB/LB buttons on these tabs to toggle between arm and shoulder weapons. Left-arm weapons will only be available on the left shoulder and the same goes for the right-side weapons. This is how to equip arm weapons on the AC's shoulders. Take note of the AC's load capacity as this may lead to strange weight and balance for it.

How to Switch Weapons

Unfortunately, players cannot use the weapons on their shoulders. They can instead switch between these weapons on the fly. Press the desired shoulder button and the rear arm will swap out the corresponding weapon. This will be R1/L1 on the PS5 and RB/LB on the Xbox. Players who are using double shotguns or an all-melee build can do so while still keeping weapons for other purposes. Experiment with multiple builds to make the perfect mecha machine.

Armored Core 6 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
