Armored Core 6 is From Software's return to the long-forgotten mecha franchise. While the action is more fast-paced and arcade-like than a Soulsbourne game, players can still expect difficult combat/boss fights. ACs are the giant robots that fans will use to fight through Armored Core 6. These mechs can be tuned by the player and shaped into unique fighting machines.

There are a lot of systems and mechanics that players might miss out on in Armored Core 6. One of these systems is OS Tuning, which allows players to upgrade their AC using a separate currency. These upgrades are handy and can make a huge difference when fighting a demanding boss; however, there is a limited amount of OST upgrade points, so players may feel hesitant when using them. Here is how OST Chips are earned and how fans can respec them.

OST Chips

OST Chips are earned by fighting in the Arena. Completing the Operation Wallclimber mission will open up the Arena. This is where players can fight enemy ACs from throughout the game in one-on-one fights. These fights test the player's skill and AC build, as there are no repair kits allowed. More enemy ACs will be unlocked to fight as players progress through the story.

Defeating each opponent in the arena gives the player the enemy's AC Data and OST Chips as a reward. These OST Chips are spent at the OS Tuning screen in the garage. OS Upgrades will grow more expensive with each level purchased, so players should spend their chips wisely.Simple upgrades like damage resistance or better repair kits can be just as useful as core expansions.

How to Respec OS Upgrades

If players have made a mistake or want to try a different upgrade they can easily respec by heading to the OS Tuning screen and pressing the Triangle button on PlayStation or the Y button on Xbox. Resetting the OS Upgrades will cost COAM credits; it shouldn't be too costly and stay under 100,000 COAM. If players don't have enough to respec, they can always grind by replaying missions or selling weapons back to the shop; selling weapons always gives back their original price.

Armored Core 6 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
