6 Arena Battles

Players will unlock Arena battles in the first chapter which will also release the OS Tuning shop. It’s here that players can upgrade pilot skills via Chips won in Arena matches. The OS system is sort of like a skill tree in an RPG although it is not that extensive.

The first match fought will reward players with Chips but the second match onward will replace Chips with a fixed COAM payout. In Chapter One, players can fight against three mechs including Invincible Rummy, Index Dunham, and G6 Red. Invincible Rummy is the one to fight on repeat as the match is worth 17,500 COAM every time. It shouldn’t take more than thirty seconds to finish the fight.

5 Grid 135 Cleanup

“Grid 135 Cleanup” is one of the first string of missions that unlock after the tutorial. The mission will have players fly back to the starting hanger wherein they will be tasked with finishing off a remaining squad of mechs. It’s not challenging as there are no bosses or even high-level mid-tier mechs.

The mission is worth 68,000 COAM, but players will probably end up with only about 56,000 COAM instead for about 2 minutes' worth of work. It’s not the most lucrative mission to tackle in Chapter One but it is good practice against a live set of enemies. There are worse ways to make money in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.

4 Retrieve Combat Logs

“Retrieve Combat Logs” is a very easy mission with a low payout. It’s the most different in Chapter One though which is why it deserves a quick shoutout. The battlefield is littered with enemy soldiers and downed mechs that players have to rendezvous with. The goal is to scan and dig through the wreckage of at least five of them in four minutes. They are simple enough to find because black smoke will billow out of their wreckage.

The more mechs that players find, the bigger their bonus payout will become after their fifth retrieval. Starting pay is 10,000 COAM, but players can end with a lot more, like around 40,000 COAM, depending on the enemies killed and the logs they collect. This mission will not make anyone rich, but it can go by quickly if players make the most of those four minutes and learn to get their speedrunning skills up.

3 Destroy The Transport Helicopters

“Destroy the Transport Helicopters” takes place on a large map with players tasked with destroying helicopters that are preparing to take off. The starting pay for this operation is 80,000 COAM and if players just destroy the main targets, the helicopters, they should get around 79,000 COAM. For every soldier they kill, a bonus will be added, so a good ending number could be around 110,000 COAM.

Going this route will add a significant amount of time to the mission though and players should be able to finish in about three minutes. The goal of this article is to earn as much money as fast as possible, which is why the direct destruction of helicopters is advised. Become the reaper of death for helicopters and choose this path. Quick players should be able to complete the mission in just a little over a minute.

2 Destroy The Weaponized Mining Ship

“Destroy the Weaponized Mining Ship” may at first seem like a daunting mission and it will be for initiates. The task of this one is to take down a giant walking mining ship. This thing is bigger than the map and it would fit right in with the bosses of Shadow of the Colossus. Approaching it will be tricky too because it will fire a beam that can almost instantly kill players. Once they get to this giant robot, Strider, they will have to damage the leg to board the behemoth.

After that players have to destroy a few generators and then the eye of this beast. This eye is where the killer beam comes from. If players are equipped with long-range rifles, one in each hand, and two shoulder missile launchers, this mission will be no problem. The starting pay is 270,000 COAM and players can end with about 218,000 COAM. This will take about five minutes the first few times which is admittedly lengthy. The more times players run through this, the easier it will become though.

1 Destroy The Tester AC

“Destroy the Tester AC” is the best early mission to tackle on repeat. There is only one target, a standard mech, and players should be able to finish this one in under a minute. It may take a few times to master its movements though because it is not a pushover.

Getting better parts and weapons will also hasten the time of this operation. For example, a good beam sword will cut right through this thing like a hot knife through butter. The starting payout for this mission will begin at 95,000 COAM and skilled players should earn about 79,000 COAM for just a minute of their time.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
