Pokemon Sleep is rolling out worldwide and should be available in most regions as a free download on the App Store and Google Play Store. With this new Pokemon-themed application, players can earn points by having a restful sleep. The app detects players' sleep patterns and rewards them with all sorts of goodies. Essentially, gamers will have to try and complete the Pokedex by observing different Pokemon and their particular sleep styles. And each week, Pokemon Sleep players can visit a new island to try and find new Pokemon. However, to progress the game at all, sleeping is a must.

For Pokemon Sleep to track slumber, the app recommends players plug in their smartphone at night and put the phone face down on the bed. The app should work if you put the phone on a nightstand, but the closer, the better. Diehard Pokemon fans can even opt-in to purchase the new Pokemon GO Plus+ device, which can replace your smartphone and track sleeping without much hassle. The answer is pretty straightforward for those wondering if you can track your sleep using other methods.

Can I Use Pokemon Sleep with Apple Watch?

The answer is no. Pokemon Sleep fans cannot use their Apple Watch to track sleep or use it to interact with the game in any way. Of course, for those that already own one of Apple's fancy watches, it would have been easy to track sleep at night and somehow sync the data to Pokemon Sleep, but unfortunately, that's not the case. Pokemon Sleep players can only use their smartphone or the Pokemon GO Plus+ device to record sleep, which is basically the only way to play the game and make progress.

There's a chance that the Pokemon Sleep developers could push an update that makes the game compatible with Apple Watches, but until then, fans will need to use the two supported devices. Pokemon Sleep is still in its infantile stage, so there's a possibility that a patch or two could add quality-of-life updates to enhance the mellow experience.
