Ever since the launch of Apex Legends' Season 5, entitled Fortune's Favor, fans have speculated what kind of events they could see throughout the season. While players have been enjoying their time collecting Treasure Packs for weekly hunts, there has been a lot of theorizing as to what this season's collection event could be. However after a recent datamine, it seems players have figured out that the upcoming collection event may be called 'Treasure Hunter.'

Collection events have been a staple of Apex Legends since Season 2 with the introduction of the Iron Crown event. During these events, players will have access to a new mode to play, rather than the usual battle royale mode. The reward for these events is often rare cosmetics that are only available during this time, including Heirlooms. These Heirlooms include a unique banner pose, an exclusive quip, and a melee weapon skin for specific characters.

Through the hard work of Twitter users Biast12 and Shrugtal, players now know that the upcoming collection event will be called 'Treasure Hunter.' On their individual Twitters, they both have shared several images that seem linked to the event. One of these images is a themed Loot Tick model that is covered in map iconography.

Considering Season 5 is themed around the high society thief, Loba, an event called Treasure Hunter doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. On Biast12's Twitter, players can see images of a possible redesign for the World's Edge map, hinting that this may be the map used for the event.

While having this information gives players some insight into what the theme of the collection event will be, there are still a lot of questions in the air. When will the event start? What will the associated game mode be? What cosmetics can players hope to earn from this event? Does this tie into the 'Enter The Revenants' quest? It seems players will just have to wait until an official announcement is made for the event.
