Apex Legends continues to be a popular choice for Battle Royale fans. Respawn continues to keep players interested thanks to consistent updates and new features such as the brand new 3v3 competitive Arenas mode. In addition, new events are constantly cycling in and out, bringing with it new content and cosmetics for players to chase.

The latest one, known as Genesis, brings with it a host of new content including a brand new Arenas map based on the highly popular Kings Canyon location called Skull Town. Having been out of the game for quite a while now, fans will no doubt be thrilled to see this location return, even if it is relegated to the Arenas mode for now. During this collection event, Skull Town will be appearing in one-hour increments inside of the normal map rotation.

In addition, this latest collection event also provides a refresh of content for the game including plenty of new cosmetics. A newly released trailer covers a lot of what players can expect, while also giving the simulacrum known as Revenant an heirloom weapon. Considering his job as a hitman and mercenary, it only seems appropriate that Revenant's heirloom weapon is a scythe called the Dead Man's Curve, reminiscent of what one would see from mythical creatures associated with death like the Grim Reaper or the Greek deity Thanatos.

Thankfully, the Heirloom isn't the only specific Revenant news in this latest update for Apex Legends. Specifically, Respawn slightly trimmed down Revenant's hit box around the midsection, arms, and upper legs to help with gunfights and his already larger frame compared to other characters. In addition, Silence duration was decreased from 20 second to 15 and the death protection effect duration while using Death Totem was reduced by 5 seconds. However, his Stalker climb high was buffed considerably, letting him climb significantly higher than any other Legends. Respawn claims it is not unlimited, but players likely won't have any trouble getting around now.

While the added content should make players happy, Apex Legends appears to be a bit unstable right now. Not only are players experiencing odd bugs and glitches like an exploit allowing Wraith players to teleport before an Arenas match starts, a lot of reports are indicating that the Ranked mode has seen a sharp rise in cheaters and hacking. Naturally, this has led to many top players being outspoken in getting these problems resolved.

Apex Legends is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
