Season 7 of Apex Legends is winding down and fans are speculating about what to expect coming to the game in Season 8. There were already rumors circulating about a new legend named Fuse coming to the game, but thanks to dataminers, players can get their first look at Fuse's Ultimate ability.

The addition of Fuse has not been officially confirmed yet, but it looks like the groundwork has all been done for the legend to make an appearance. It looks like the new legend's abilities will revolve around explosives, and the legend will be teased in a similar way to how both Horizon and Octane were before their official addition to the game. Players will have to wait until Season 8 to actually get to use the legend, but like how Horizon was leaked early, so too has Fuse.

Dataminer SomeoneWhoLeaks (SWL) posted a clip to their Twitter which showed off the potential Ultimate of Fuse. The ability was formerly called Firebomb, and features a bomb that explodes after taking about 55 damage, and leaves a ring of fire in the detonation area. These bombs could be featured in Apex Legends as a teaser before Fuse is officially announced and added to the roster.

At the beginning of Season 7, Respawn added gravity lifts to the maps as a teaser for Horizon. In the past, they have also added jump pads to tease Octane coming to the game, as well as teasers outside of the game itself like the tweet teasing Crypto. The teasers served to drum up excitement in players and let them play around with the new abilities before the legends were added to the game. It's likely that Respawn will be doing this again for Fuse, and according to SWL, the Fuse teaser will be going live on January 16. The bombs will be dropping during the fifth and sixth rings, and players will need to avoid getting caught in the blasts.

The bombs will deal 70 damage on explosion and deal 60 more damage over time totaling out to 130 possible damage. This seems like a fitting Ultimate and one that could even be combined with Horizon's for a lot of damage. Until there are official announcements things can change, but players should be able to experience the bombs coming on January 16, and a huge patch coming with Season 8.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version in development.
