The newest season of Apex Legends is right around the corner. Season 8 of Apex Legends brings a brand new battle pass, a new weapon, an Obliterated Kings Canyon, and more. Perhaps chief among the additions is the new Legend, Fuse. And now Respawn Entertainment just dropped a brand new trailer detailing all of the explosive expert's bombastic moves.

There is a lot to look forward to in the newest season of Apex Legends, and Respawn has slowly been trickling in new information day-by-day. Some are still holding out hope that the Switch version of Apex Legends will arrive with Season 8, and many rumors point to this. But the most recent tidbit of information revolves around Fuse, the newest Legend in the game.

The one and a half minute trailer for Fuse gives Apex Legends fans all they need to know about Walter "Fuse" Fitzroy, he likes to blow things up. All of his abilities revolve around explosives. His Passive Ability is called Grenadier, and it has two functions. Firstly, Fuse can hold an extra grenade in each inventory slot. Additionally, Fuse has the ability to fire his grenades further, faster, and more accurately thanks to his mechanical arm.

Fuse's Tactical Ability is called the Knuckle Cluster, and it works almost like a new grenade type. Again using his mechanical arm, Fuse launches a cluster bomb that expels continuous explosive airbursts. Lastly, Fuse's Ultimate Ability works similarly to Bangalore's and Gibraltar's (who is soon getting nerfed). Named The Mother Load and nicknamed "Wally," Fuse's Ultimate is a bombardment that falls from the sky and creates a fiery and circular wall, trapping anyone inside.

All of these abilities fall right in line with an over-the-top explosive-loving Legend that Fuse is designed to be. Respawn also shared a bit of Fuse's backstory in the Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands video a few weeks ago. He--not unlike Octane in the world of Apex Legends--likes to live life on the edge. Fuse seems right at home in the Apex Games.

The brief trailer also shows off footage of the Obliterated Kings Canyon map, which happened when Fuse entered the games. Additionally, Fuse uses the new 30-30 Repeater in the trailer, a Heavy weapon that feels like a mix between the Long Bow and the G7 Scout. Apex Legends is coming up on its two-year anniversary, and in many ways, the game is doing better than ever. Respawn has continued to support the title through massive seasonal updates, mid-season events, patches, and more. While many have tried to make a solid and sustainable online battle royale, only a few have found the success that Respawn has with Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and has a Switch version in development.
