Apex Legends cosplays have become extremely popular since Respawn Entertainment's battle royale released nearly two years ago. Characters have very unique appearance and elaborate outfits, which makes for some very impressive cosplays. Some extremely detailed cosplays have been shown off, including Season 7 legend Horizon.
While many of the Apex Legends characters are very popular to cosplay as like Wraith and Loba, Season 3 legend Crypto does not seem to pop up in cosplays as often. However, one fan has recently shared a spectacular cosplay of Crypto. One of Crypto's main identifiers are the cybernetic modifications to his neck and around his eyes. The cosplayer shows off the cyberpunk-like metal implants very well with a bit of impressive makeup work.
Crypto has a unique sense of style, as his normal outfit features a lime green and white coat and a vest underneath. The cosplay from Instagram user "sarenji" nails the outfit complete with Crypto's signature popped collar and even included the strings that tie his vest together. Sarenji is no stranger to Apex Legends, as she has shown off very detailed cosplays of Loba, Octane, and fan-favorite legend Wraith.
While Crypto may not be the most popular character in Apex Legends, his cybernetic appearance, stylish outfit, and charismatic personality make for a very interesting character. Since his release, Crypto has received a couple of buffs, though his drone abilities limit his usefulness in firefights, but are great for scouting and identifying opponents. Season changes usually mark changes to characters as well, so Crypto might be subject to some further changes moving into Season 8.
Season 8 is still most likely a few months away and the next Season 7 event is scheduled to start on January 5. The Fight Night Collection Event will feature a Pathfinder Town Takeover which will hold all-out melee boxing matches and will reward loot to winning players. The Fight Night Collection Event will also feature a new LTM called "Airdrop Escalation Takeover" which will not deviate much from normal Apex gameplay, except supply drops will pop up more often as the match progresses.
The Fight Night Collection Event will also introduce Gibraltar's heirloom, which players can earn by unlocking all of the Fight Night Collection Event earnable cosmetics. As the season progresses, players may be in for hints regarding the content of Season 8, and fans may get some new cosplay inspiration.
Apex Legends is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version also in development.
