Apex Legends is back with its customary April Fools update, adding the good old Mozambique variants alongside an exciting anti-gravity mechanic. Last year, the Apex Legends event featured a Mozambique that shot Nessies, along with six different versions of the gun, including the likes of Mozamblam and Mozambeam.

Apex Legends received a massive update a few days back, which made several changes to popular characters like Conduit, Bangalore, and Revenant. While nerfs like these usually receive quite a polarized response from the community, Respawn Entertainment seems to have hit the nail on the head with the patch, as fans ended up appreciating the changes. As many await for a new character to arrive in Apex Legends as part of the Season 21 update, there is an exciting event to take part in on April 1. It seems like Apex Legends' iconic April Fools event is on a much larger scale this time around.

Overwatch 2 fans point out glaring similarities between the Cyber Demon Genji skin and the leaked Revenant skin in Apex Legends.

As part of its April Fools update, Apex Legends has made a plethora of changes. The modified Mozambique variants are back once again, and so is the Ol' Nessie. While the former can be found in ground loot, Ol' Nessie can be found in care packages. Additionally, Spider Eggs at Storm Point in Apex Legends also have the Nessies, similar to last year. While these changes might seem quite familiar, there is plenty new to look forward to as well.

Apex Legend's April Fools Event & Server Issues Divides Fans

Perhaps the most interesting highlight of the update is the anti-gravity mechanic. As the circle continues to progress, the effect of gravity keeps on decreasing, adding a hilarious touch to the game. Another extremely fun part of the event is when players use weapons like Rampart's Sheila in Apex Legends, there is a new knockback effect. This means that players can fly in the air by shooting at the ground. There is also a new April Fools Badge that players can get upon logging in today. Last but not least, with all the insanity going on with the game's mechanics, stats have been disabled for the time being until the event concludes.

So far the Apex Legends April Fools Event has drawn mixed reception from the community with many players appreciating the newly added features in this year's update. However, some fans are not happy with the changes, as there is a penalty associated with leaving Mixtape matches, and there is no way to play them without the April Fools changes. Likewise, the stat freeze isn't being appreciated as well. On top of that, there seem to be server issues lingering around as well, which is something that hasn't gone down well in the community. The event only lasts for a day, so fans have some funky stuff to try out in Apex Legends right before the Season 21 update arrives.
