The popular city-building real-time strategy video game Anno 1800 is finally getting a next-gen console release. Following its initial release on PC on April 16th, 2019, console gamers will, at last, be able to enjoy the history inspired video game.

The Anno series has always been praised for its addictive gameplay and high replayability. The latest game in the series is set in the exciting 19th century, which is known for being a time period that brought significant change in the world, featuring events such as the dawn of the industrial revolution and the rise of the free market system. Players in Anno 1800 have numerous opportunities to demonstrate their city building skills as they explore and settle the continents and influence their adversaries either through peaceful diplomacy or violent conflict. Besides the traditional multiplayer mode, Anno 1800 also includes a story-driven campaign and a sandbox mode in which players can customize almost every game setting to their liking.
