Most of these characters are not that great, which makes them fairly forgettable. Very few characters have a character design as unique as Koro-sensei. He didn't always look like an alien though. In fact, before being experimented on, Koro-Sensei looked like any ordinary human. After the experiment was completed though, Koro-Sensei was turned into a creature with a yellow body and numerous tentacles.
Along with the changes to his body, Koro-Sensei's physical attributes were also boosted as he was able to travel at ridiculously fast speeds. Koro-Sensei's multiple arms and big round head give him a unique shape, which makes him stand out from the rest of the anime characters.
4 Saitama (One Punch Man)
The first season of One Punch Man took the world by storm. The quality of animation, the story, and the characters made it one of the most popular anime in recent years. Despite having a large cast of characters, it wasn't too difficult for Saitama to catch the eye.
He was introduced as an extraordinarily powerful character, who was capable of defeating his enemies with just a single punch. However, the thing that made him unique was his shiny bald egg-shaped head.
3 Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)
Sailor Moon is arguably the most famous shoujo anime of all time. It stars Usagi Tsukino, who was reborn on earth as the leader of the Sailor Senshi. She went through a lot of character development, and she overcame many of her problems.
Usagi lives two different lives - one as a civilian and the other as the powerful Sailor Moon. While her civilian life might not stand out, her time as Sailor Moon makes her one of the most distinguishable anime characters around, as does her unique hairstyle.
2 Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)
Spike Spiegel is the main lead in Cowboy Bebop. He was a spectacular character who didn't let any kind of hardship bother him. He was very easygoing, and he rarely lost his temper in any situation. Spike was a highly talented individual, with multiple skills and was a great marksman who could shoot down enemies from a very long distance.
Also, Spike could use different kinds of weapons without any kind of problem. Over the course of the series, he struck many poses that became iconic, with the most famous one being him using his finger to make a gesture resembling a gun and then passing out.
1 Guts(Berserk)
No anime character has had a tougher childhood than Guts. He was found by Shisu near his mother's corpse. After taking him in, Shisu promptly died due to the plague, which left Guts with absolutely no one to look out for him.
Instead of picking a normal-sized sword, Guts used a sword that was much larger than him. As he grew up, the sword remained the only consistent thing in his life and he found solace whenever he was with it. With the ginormous sword on his back, it is easy to see why Guts is so distinguishable from other anime swordsmen.
