Anime crossovers can be amazing fanservice for audiences that love a variety of anime, giving them a great opportunity to see their favorite characters finally interact. However, it's not always a good time when two separate series meet, letting their cast mingle.

While some characters may click instantly and find their long-lost best friend, brother, or sister, others may find their new mortal enemy. Whether it be their chemistry, morals, or attitude, some beloved anime characters are just destined to clash with one another and need to stay in their series just to keep the peace! Here are some anime characters and their sworn enemies from different series.

8 Vash (Trigun Stampede) & Sato (Ajin: Demi-Human)

Vash & Sato

Trigun Stampede's Vash and Ajin's Sato couldn't be any worse of a match. Even disregarding the fact that these two are the protagonist and antagonist of their respective series, they still manage to clash in terms of both personality and morals. These two are fundamentally misaligned in terms of their worldviews.

Both characters are oppressed and seen as a threat in their world, constantly being hunted, attacked, and pushed away. However, the difference between the two lies in their response. While Sato chooses to fight back and enjoy bloodshed (even when spilled from the innocent), using his status/power as an Ajin as an excuse to wage a war on humans, Vash does everything he can to keep the peace. There's no doubt that Vash would be disgusted with Sato's views, while Sato would laugh at Vash's soft-hearted lifestyle.

7 Daisuke Kambe, Haru Katou (The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited) & Makoto Edamura, Laurent Thierry (Great Pretender)

Daisuke Kambe, Haru Katou & Makoto Edamura, Laurent Thierry

For fans of both The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited and Great Pretender, it doesn't take much explaining to see why the lead pairs wouldn't get along so well. Daisuke and Haru are both detectives (as their series title would imply) working for the Metropolitan Police Department, catching wanted criminals.

Of course, with that said, Makoto and Laurent may just end up being one of their cases as the Great Pretender duo make their money in less than legal ways. Makoto and Laurent are con men and have made a living out of deception, conning the rich and making away with their wealth. Whether the pair's victims were deserving of being robbed or not, Daisuke and Haru would still make sure to be hot on their trail, handcuffs at the ready!

6 Nezuko Kamado (Demon Slayer) & Tamaki Suoh (Ouran High School Host Club)

Nezuko Kamado & Tamaki Suoh

When Nezuko isn't having a well-deserved nap time in Tanjiro's travel box, waiting for the coast to be clear, she's often running from girl-crazy Zenitsu. Demon Slayer's adorable Nezuko already has Zenitsu to worry about. Who knows how grumpy she'd become after getting introduced to Ouran High School Host Club's prince, Tamaki Suoh!

Tamaki's natural instincts as a host are likely to kick in the moment he sets eyes on the lovely Nezuko, causing him to go into a flurry of sweet talk and dramatic poses, all in the name of love (or at least to impress Nezuko). However, these kinds of things don't appeal to the young girl, and while Tamaki may take a liking to Nezuko, she would likely avoid Tamaki at all costs!

5 Tobio Kageyama (Haikyuu!!) & Shoei Barou (Blue Lock)

Tobio Kageyama & Shoei Barou

Perhaps current-day Kageyama would be a bit more lenient with Blue Lock's Barou, but Haikyuu's season one Kageyama would clash with him in an instant. Funny enough, these two are referred to as the "king" of the field/court.

Despite them playing completely different sports, these two leaders would still manage to find something to butt heads about, whether it be who's the best runner, the best cook, or even the best dancer! Early Kageyama and Barou would definitely be in a constant fight to be number one, the leader of the pack, and the true king.

4 Light Yagami (Death Note) & Denji (Chainsaw Man)

Light Yagami & Denji

At first, it may seem a bit random to put these two side by side, but when their morals, values, overall character, and goals are put next to one another, it becomes clear why the Death Note and Chainsaw Man protagonists would likely hate each other's guts.

Light is all about his version of justice, cleansing the world of all criminals and killing anyone that even questions his authority. Meanwhile, Denji is a simple guy; he indulges in simple things most kids these days take for granted. Becoming a near-immortal monster with incredible power is something Light would likely find interesting and useful, yet it was an opportunity wasted on the simple-minded Denji. Light would definitely be jealous of Denji's power and grow frustrated by the fact that the Death Note might not work properly on non-humans!

3 Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia) & Keisuke Baji (Tokyo Revengers)

Katsuki Bakugo & Keisuke Baji

When fire meets fire, only bad things can happen. These two come from drastically different anime but in the end, are still two teenage hot-heads that would find a reason to fight about just any matter. My Hero Academia's Bakugo and Tokyo Revengers' Baji are the types to escalate just about any argument to the point where fists are the only thing that will get the message across.

Sure, deep down both Baji and Bakugo have it in them to be kind and caring to those they hold dear to them, but keep in mind that both of these boys had no issue with beating up their best friends! If that's the "special treatment" Deku and Chifuyu get as Bakugo and Baji's best friends, who knows what treatment they have planned for each other?

2 Eren Yeager (Attack On Titan) & Tanjiro Kamado (Demon Slayer)

Eren Yeager & Tanjiro Kamado

The Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer protagonists couldn't be any farther from one another on the morality spectrum. Eren in the early stages of the series may have been young and naive, but as of where he stands currently, he's not exactly the golden-hearted hero he wanted to be in his younger days.

Tanjiro is the kind of protagonist that wants to give everyone a chance, even bloodthirsty demons. Tanjiro knows that each demon used to be a human, so he tries to empathize with them, letting them know that he wishes for them to be at peace, trying to spare as many lives as he possibly can. Eren, on the other hand, lost that sense of wanting to preserve human lives somewhere along his journey. These two would likely start an all-out war trying to battle for their ideals.

1 Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen) & Makima (Chainsaw Man)

Gojo Satoru & Makima

Gojo and Makima have often been compared by fans in the past as they stand as the most powerful characters in their respective universes of Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. While it may be true, their similarities end with that powerful status.

Makima comes off as a bit of a control freak and ensures that everything she has authority over goes her way. She has a slightly sinister vibe to herself that wouldn't get past Gojo. Gojo may be rather silly and aloof on the outside but when it comes down to more important matters, he knows when to smarten up. These two are powerful leaders and are sure to clash purely from their mistrust of each other's motives.
