In the puzzle-filled metroidvania world of Animal Well, the Disc is an item that you can acquire after switching the Mock Disc with the real one at the Cat's Face statue. This allows the player to press buttons or switches that are quite far away, and even ride the disc to previously inaccessible areas.
As most items in the game are optional, players can sometimes get confused about which path they should take next. This guide will allow players to make their way from the Disc to the next item in Animal Well, which allows them to solve more puzzles.
With no clear objective in hand, the players are allowed to pursue any item they want first. The order of collecting them does not affect the story.

Animal Well: After Disc Walkthrough
Go to the Statue Room
After switching the Mock Disc with the real one, the next step is to head back to the statue room. Head right from the Disc room and down the set of ladders. Soon, you will reach a telephone, allowing you to save and reach the Statue Room. Head right to find two paths, and take the ladder that leads up. Go right to find a room with two yellow buttons. One of these buttons rises again after a second, and the other is inaccessible at the moment. Leave this and head right into the Chameleon room. At this point in the game, you can not take on this boss, so ignore it and head right.
Acquiring The Key To The Locked Door
This room will introduce you to a new enemy: the hedgehog. These are pretty passive creatures, and act more as obstacles more than enemies that chase you. They move on the floor of platforms, forcing you to jump over them to avoid taking damage. The door on the left is locked, so the only way forward is to the room on the right. In the room is a chest on a platform. This chest holds a key that can open the locked door in the previous area.
Either use your bubble wand to jump up to the chest or make the Chinchilla on the right come to you, and use it to climb up to the chest.
With the key, head back to the locked door, climb up the ladder, and go into the room on the right.

The Chinchilla Moving Platform Puzzle
Inside the room, you will see a Chinchilla sitting on top of a platform with another platform below it. To solve this puzzle, let the Chinchilla head right, with the gate there closed. When the Chinchilla comes back left, use the switch to create the barrier on the left, allowing only the lower platform to go left. When the Chinchilla goes back right, press the switch again so that the Chinchilla does not fall.
Press the switch again as soon as the upper platform head heads left so that the Chinchilla touches the right barrier and heads right. Once this is done, make sure the barrier on the right is open, allowing the Chinchilla to fall from the upper platform to the lower one and proceed left. Do not press the switch again. This should allow the Chinchilla to move left, then right, and fall on the yellow button opening the room on your right. There is a chest here with the Future Egg that you can collect.
Back To The Main Path
In this room, you can see two yellow buttons on the top right and left side. Ignore these buttons for now and make your way to the top ladder, which will lead you to a telephone, allowing you to save your game. After saving, head down the ladder and make your way to the button on the top right. The normal way to do this is by heading right and solving the hedgehog puzzle.
In the room, you will find a very basic puzzle. The goal is to press the switch, allowing the hedgehog to walk on the yellow buttons. Once all the yellow buttons have been pressed, head up the ladder and go along the left path to press the yellow button. With one yellow button down, go into the room on the left.
If you want to ignore this puzzle, simply stand next to the ladder that takes you to the telephone and face right. Equip either the Disc or Bubble Wand and make your way to the top right, skipping the puzzle.
Green Switch Falling Platform Puzzle
In this room, you will see a chest, a Chinchilla, and two green switches. The chest contains the key to the locked door on the top of the ladder. First, head left and stand on the green switch to make the chest fall from the platform. With the easy part out of the way, your next task will be to lure the Chinchilla towards the falling platform. Go up the ladder and come close to the crystal wall, making the Chinchilla come towards you. Once it is on top of the platform, jump down and press the green switch, making it fall. Now, lure it again to the right of the switch.
Head left and use your bubble wand to make bubbles, and head up. This will allow the Chinchilla to spot you and come close to you. Open the platform, use the bubble wand again, and go up to the chest. With the key in hand, head to the locked door, open it, and head right to press the second yellow button. With this, you can go through the blockade and head down to press another yellow button that opens the door on the left.
Reaching the Slink
The newly opened room is quite dark. Use the Firecracker against the glowing enemies and go up, making use of the minimal lighting. There should be a chest here with a Chinchilla sleeping on the right. Wake up the Chinchilla using the Firecracker, making it run back and trigger the yellow button. Loot the chest and head down to come upon a room with three yellow buttons and a Chameleon that will try to stop you.
Stay on the platform and press the button on the left, then jump down to the button on the right. Head left towards the last button, and jump on the Chinchilla that is following you to reach it. With the door open, you can ignore the Chameleon and head left and up the ladder. In this room, you will find a Chest sitting on top. Jump up the steps and open the chest to find another usable item known as the Slink.
