Animal Crossing: New Horizons is at long last releasing in just a few days for the Nintendo Switch, and Twitter has created a new custom emoji to celebrate. Everyone's favorite raccoon landlord, Tom Nook, is getting his very own emoji on Twitter for a limited time.

The official Animal Crossing Twitter page announced on Monday that using specific hashtags will showcase the Nook emoji. Gamers can use the hashtags #AnimalCrossing and #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons while tweeting to see the loveable raccoon.

There's no word yet on when the emoji will disappear, but it is guaranteed to be used all over Twitter this week. It's virtually impossible to create even more excitement Animal Crossing as most fans are sitting in self-isolation searching for new games to play. Even before the global outbreak of COVID-19, gamers were already anxiously waiting for their pre-orders to arrive. Most pre-order bundle sales are entirely sold out at the moment, but fans can still find deals on the game scattered around the internet.

This isn't the first time Animal Crossing has saved the world from dwelling on woes of the world. The first Animal Crossing game released not long after the events of 9/11. As the start of the war in Iraq changed history forever, Animal Cossing was there to transport fans into a delightfully simple world. So it makes sense why so many fans are begging for new content anywhere they can get it.

Unsurprisingly there are already discounted guidebooks for the game, even though it will officially release in three days. The amount of hype for this game seems overwhelming as most fans just want the game to release already. Needless to say, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is likely to be one of 2020's best selling games of 2020, with plenty of content to keep gamers engaged throughout the year.

Towards the end of Nintendo Direct last Thursday, it was announced that Animal Crossing will launch with an immediate free update. The day one update will be a seasonal Easter event but instead calling the event "Bunny Day". It is unclear what the kinds of minigames and shenanigans Bunny Day will hold, but fans can be sure the update will be adorably fun.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will launch on March 20th, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch.
