As Animal Crossing: New Horizons takes the world by storm, allowing players to host virtual events while they're stuck inside, many players have been going above and beyond to enhance everyone else's experience with the game. One such fan has developed a website that will help players share and find their favorite designs online.
Reddit user plump_tomato posted the design sharing website to the Animal Crossing subreddit, one of the top sources for player-created Animal Crossing: New Horizons designs. Using the Able Sisters store, players can use download codes to find fan-made custom designs and share their own with others.
The way that plump_tomato's website works, is that players can upload a screenshot of their custom design along with a title, the design type, and the download code. This lets players either browse through their favorite TV and film inspired designs, or search directly to see if anyone has created a specific design that they are looking for. As a result of creating this website, plump_tomato has created a much easier way for players to search and find designs, as long as they've been submitted and logged into the site.
This is, unfortunately, the best option for finding and sharing designs, if players are looking to have a large searchable database to pull from, seeing as how the game doesn't really let players search around within itself. What is fortunate, though, is that players have been stepping up from the beginning to share designs, and so the collection of designs to choose from online is already fairly extensive. Now players have a one-stop-shop for their favorite designs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons from Star Wars to a custom-built Ash Ketchum.
The designs already available on the website are fairly comprehensive, with dozens of different custom designs ranging from original works to recreations of video game-inspired outfits from all corners of the internet. While it would be preferable for the game to allow players to search on their own within the game, it is uplifting to see players coming together, not only to share their own art but also to help other players access everything that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has to offer. With any luck, plump_tomato's new website will help players enjoy better enjoy the game, as they explore their island and build their own community with expertly made custom designs that best fit their style.
