A few days ago, several video games including Final Fantasy 7, Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel's Avengers, and Iron Man VR, have all been delayed by their respective developers. However, it appears that Nintendo's highly-anticipated Switch game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is still launching as scheduled, and a handful of video game retailers have already displayed banners and posters of the game in stores.

Several players spotted a Walmart in Canada to be one of the first stores to display promotions for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One of the marketing assets displayed in the store showed the adorable Tom Nook front and center and promoted Island Paradise, which is the deserted island where players will start a new life and will be tasked to establish a vibrant and bustling village. Other features for the upcoming game are also clearly visible in the advertisements such as a wide array of customization options, crafting, and many others.

Another display showed the three standard models of the Switch Lite that featured in-game footage of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It isn't clear whether Nintendo will release a special Animal Crossing-themed Switch or Switch Lite during the game's launch this March. However, several third-party accessory makers such as Hori, are already rolling out licensed Animal Crossing accessories for both variations of the Nintendo console.

Players can already pre-order Animal Crossing: New Horizons on most major video game retailers. Unfortunately, Nintendo still hasn't revealed whether it is planning to release any special editions or pre-order bonuses for the upcoming game, which is roughly 2 months away. Luckily, Best Buy is offering players who will pre-purchase Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a cute store-exclusive gift and My Best Buy members will also be rewarded with a $10 reward certificate that can be used to purchase other items from the store.

At the start of the new year, Nintendo released a new trailer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that gave players a preview of the game's new location. The main premise of New Horizons revolves around the player being invited to start a new life on an island via Tom Nook's Deserted Island Getaway Package. Previous trailers of the upcoming game also confirmed other features such as a new way to navigate around the game's world, an 8-player co-op mode, and the return of popular activities in the franchise such as fishing, bug catching, fossil digging, and many more.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is set to release on March 20, 2020, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
