Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for almost six months now. Since that time, the game has managed to captivate and entertain players from all around the world. Now, after being out of stock for several months now, Animal Crossing fans from all over the world will be able to pick up a very special variant of the Nintendo Switch.
As previously mentioned, Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched at possibly the perfect timeframe. With everyone stuck indoors during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, people from all over the world turned to video games as a source of reprieve from all of the stress and boredom, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons being one of the more popular games to play during the months of quarantine. Though, with the release of the game also came a unique version of the Nintendo Switch.
Back when New Horizons was only a couple months out from launch, Nintendo announced an Animal Crossing Switch bundle, which included not only a copy of the game, but also an Animal Crossing themed Nintendo Switch. This version of the Switch came with light blue and green joycons and a cute design of the Nooks on the docking station.
This version of the Switch ran for a limited time, but luckily, according to new information, that version of the Nintendo Switch is currently being restocked and will be available for purchase soon. This was announced via Facebook and Nintendo Australia. For those who missed it during its initial release, this is very good news. Though, the console still costs $299.99, so for those looking for an Animal Crossing themed Switch for a much affordable price, the New Horizons Switch skins are a much better alternative.
In any case, this is great for both those who have yet to get into Animal Crossing and longtime fans of the series. With numerous free updates being released, including the upcoming fall update, new players have a lot to look forward to.
In addition to all of the free content that has been added to the game, players are still finding numerous secrets hidden within the game. Discoveries such as rare fish and bugs, double rainbows, and a cacophony of different items to decorate their respective islands are among them. With the limited edition New Horizons themed Switch re-releasing soon, it's quite possibly the best time to be an Animal Crossing fan.
