After purchasing Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Pro Decorating License, players will have the ability to set accent walls in their homes. While setting up an accent wall is a fairly straightforward process, some fans may be slightly confused about how to remove one. Fortunately, it is quite simple to remove an accent wall in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and this guide has full details on exactly how that is done.
How to Remove Accent Walls in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
To get right to it, the first step toward removing an accent wall is to enter Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ decorating mode. For full clarity, this mode is accessed by pressing down on the d-pad when standing in a room that is to be decorated, and it gives players new ways to arrange their objects. Once a fan has entered decorating mode, they should press right on the d-pad to open their storage and then navigate to the wallpaper tab.
In this tab, players that have setup an accent wall will find that the two wallpapers that they have installed are marked, and they should highlight the one that is assigned to the accent wall. Fans should then simply press X to remove that accent wallpaper and force all of the walls to have the same design. From there, players will be free to change out the room’s wallpaper as they see fit or even setup a new accent wall in ACNH if that is their preference.
To note, while accent walls can only be removed in decorating mode, they can be set outside of it. To do this, players should simply approach the wall that they want to make an accent, select the wallpaper of interest from their pockets, and choose the “Set Accent Wall” option. This action will immediately apply the wallpaper, and fans will then be free to explore some of the other new decorating opportunities included in Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ 2.0 update.
Among those new opportunities is the ability to hang items from ceilings, and it is also earned by purchasing the Pro Decorating License in ACNH. Players that are interested in hanging fixtures in their houses are advised to once again navigate to decorating mode and the press + to enter an aerial view. Indeed, this view makes placing and moving hanging objects a breeze, and it should allow players to really nail their desired layouts.
