Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have taken to recreating a whole host of different scenes since the game’s release. There is a long list of items that players can purchase and collect, and these have been used to help make impressive tributes. In the latest display of this player creativity, one Animal Crossing: New Horizons player brought back a memorable scene from 101 Dalmatians.
Originally released in March 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has seen commercial and critical success since then. This reference is to the 1961 animated film, 101 Dalmatians that revolves around the misadventures of a stolen litter of puppies.
The movie this scene is in, 101 Dalmatians, is famous for a number of memorable moments and characters and this post captures one of the former perfectly. This image is split in two, one from in-game capture of u/TwentiesGirl_ and the other of the dalmatians from the movie watching television. This movie scene shows the original dalmatian family watching their favorite dog-centric show before being put to bed for the night. In the top image, this Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has added in nearly every detail from the bottom image. They included a retro TV for the half dozen dalmatian puppies in the room to watch and even included a bird feeder and matching rug. On top of this, u/TwentiesGirl_ did a great job to include a bunch of furniture items that match the movie scene well, including a yellow couch, yellow drapes, and even a blue pillow.
U/TwentiesGirl_ managed to get just the right combination of items and wallpapers to make this scene work. Unfortunately, to recreate this look, players need to have quite a few things go right, mainly involving good fortune at Nook’s Cranny. The most important part of this image, the dalmatian puppies, are categorized as miscellaneous items in the game and referred to as Puppy Plushies. These are not among the more rare items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons but may take some time to show up in the shop.
It can be frustrating for players who find these posts and want to recreate their look but lack the needed items. Items are challenging to locate and, though players in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can upgrade and add to Nook’s Cranny’s offerings, it can still take quite a long time to get exactly what players are looking for.
Then again, the Animal Crossing series has always asked patience from its players. Time progresses as it does in real life but allows for upgrades and achievements to feel much more like accomplishments. Regardless of how players feel about the game, this creation is a great tribute to a memorable film.
