As with games like The Sims and Minecraft, Animal Crossing: New Horizons inspires numerous fans to recreate their favorite things within the title. With both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Pokemon Legends: Arceus sharing the Nintendo Switch as their sole platform, crossovers made by fans were all but certain.

While Pokemon Legends: Arceus brings an experience similar to open world titles and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is much more limited in this regard, there's likely many fans of New Horizons that are now exploring through Arceus. While Pokemon Legends: Arceus may be gaining most of the attention right now due to its recent release, fans are still bringing elements of it back to their island homes in New Horizons.

A fan and Redditor by the name of pepper_gecko has now created an impressive recreation of playable character Akari's outfit from Pokemon Legends: Arceus within Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The Galaxy Team uniform looks perfect, shown from the front, back, and sides, and the creator has been kind enough to share a download code for anyone to access the outfit on their own islands.

There have been myriads of crossovers between Pokemon and Animal Crossing prior to this, starting long before New Horizons ever released. While the two titles are fairly different from each other in terms of gameplay, both focus on making friends with creatures (Pokemon and animal villagers, respectively) and can be played on a casual basis. While Pokemon can be demanding if players want to see and catch everything, popping into Animal Crossing: New Horizons to check the shop and gather the daily collectibles is something that can be achieved quickly everyday. The fact that Animal Crossing: New Horizons follows the real clock helps to keep players coming back even after new games release, which also keeps the fan creations coming.

While DLC support for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has come to an end, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is just getting started. It's unclear at this time if Pokemon Legends: Arceus will receive DLC, but it has been a fairly common sight for recent mainline Pokemon releases. Given this is the first game of its kind for the Pokemon series, the developer and Nintendo may have chosen to move cautiously, in case fans didn't embrace the title. However, reactions from fans and critics alike to Pokemon Legends: Arceus have been good overall. Pokemon Legends: Arceus has also already blasted past Pokemon Sword and Shield's sales at launch, so the future for this title looks bright. Until then, though, fans have plenty to recreate from Pokemon Legends: Arceus in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Pokemon Legends: Arceus are now available for the Nintendo Switch.
